The C Word

For sometime now cancer the c word has plagued families far and wide. The controversy about radiation and chemotherapy treatments is gaining ground. We have three now in our family who has cancer so far only one has beaten cancer. The death rates and beating cancer is very low in the one digit category with conventional medical treatments such as radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery.

I have read and studied many books about how cancer is not a death sentence but can be beaten through natural methods. Among the books that stood out for me was Suzanne Somers books on breast cancer. I read several on breast cancer because my twin sister had breast cancer and beat it through natural methods. Also, I read the Gerson Therapy by Charlotte Gerson who has treatment centers that follow her late fathers successful treatment of beating cancer even in late stages of patients being sent home to die by the medical field. Well my sister did follow the fresh fruits, vegetables, and juicing and other natural treatments and has successfully beaten cancer. She did have to have one breast removed because of an infection but continued for 2 years with natural therapies. She is now cancer free and just had her blood tested again and passed with flying colors.

My nephew who has cancer is following the conventional medical doctors protocol of chemo and radiation and has been sent home to die. He chose not to seek out alternative methods and is is very sad. I believe he would stand a chance of beating the cancer if he would follow the follow the natural therapies, but it is like he has given up hope.

During the holidays we found out our son has been diagnosed with kidney, hip, and lung cancer. The cancer started in his kidney and quickly went to his hip and now spots on his lungs. He too has chosen to go the way of conventional medical doctors. He finishes up the radiation treatments this week and then at the end of this month he will go to MD Anderson for more extensive tests.

I am very hopeful now I know more about cancer and that there is hope for beating cancer when conventional methods fail.

Please keep all of us in your prayers and I thank you in advance.

Cancer is a disease that seems not to go away and it is really up to the patient what they want to do the doctors are the 'experts' but really it is up to the patients. I will say and think prayers for your family.

I am so sorry to hear about the situation and your family. I know firsthand what this is all about, as I have stage 4 cancer. in my case, with the kind of cancer that I have, there is no therapy per se and as far as radiation or chemotherapy. To be honest with you, I'm glad there is not. I was told when I was diagnosed that I had 6 months to a year. I'm coming up on for years in a few months.I believe that once attitude about life and how we live it and the kinds of things that we change in our lives do much to help us. Conventional, alternative, or new clinical, etc... I think that we each need to figure out what works best for us. And then we live with it... The choices that we make. It is not fun to go through any of it, as you well know. My heart and my prayers and healing thoughts go out to you and all of the family.

Cancer treatment is ever increasing, especially for certain types of cancer. Really, it's pretty amazing what they are accomplishing. As to so-called natural methods, I make no statement. Now when it comes to incidence within a family, no one can beat my family. Let's see: Dad's side 100% of the time. All his brothers and sisters. So I know what to look forward to in the short haul.

Thank you so much for those prayers and kind words. We take each day as a blessing and gift. My sis who has beat cancer keeps saying cancer is not a death sentence and that gives one hope. For it truly isn't for so many.

Cora bless your heart and of course you are in our prayers too for continued healing. My twin sis really has prepared us for hope. God is good and we are blessed for sure. I truly believe healing starts with good thoughts. I agree the burn and poison methods are not what I want to see done. but it is in Gods hands and miracles do happen constantly and as my twin sis always say cancer is not a death sentence.
