Winter Walk the Dog Think Spring

Winter white fell throughout the day and night, as did temperatures here in Canal Winchester, Ohio yesterday. Walking my dog Valentino was a slippery trip, needless to say! While walking the dog I busy myself with the Spring countdown clock in my mind with each step we take together.

Our afternoon walk yesterday was in cold blustery weather, with a bit of sunshine, but the temps fell quickly in the evening hours. On our last evening walk it was eleven degrees, though feeling much colder in the wind.

This morning's first walk the temperature was three degrees but the wind had died down and the sun actually felt warm. The walkways had iced over anywhere the snow had been shoveled so Valentino was doing a bit of slip-sliding away if he moved too quickly... dragging me with him, naturally! Poor dog couldn't get a good grip on the ice, so I had to keep him reined in on a short leash so he wouldn't hurt himself. (Or me!)

Checking the Spring countdown clock ... Sixty-six days until Spring arrives ... Tick-tock!

It looked cold, but a winter walk is a good way to clear out the cobwebs of the mind. Valentino looked like he enjoyed himself though.

I love the way dogs have such boundless enthusiasm, every when it comes to snow and ice!

Just be careful of the slippery road. And always take vitamins in a very cold weather. I know you are already immune too it but take care of your health. God bless.
