Date Poem: Saturday, January Second, 2016

I looked at my recent posts, and I couldn't find where if anywhere I had posted this. It's "late", but I am going to cut myself some slack for being so busy lately. ;) Anywho, this is an acrostic poem from Saturday, January Second (2016), actually finished on January Seventh. ;)

Someday

All of life's stress will be gone

There will be no more tears or pain, no more heat

Under a burning sun.

Remember our mistakes? We will not.

Down here on Earth, we live human lives

And because we're human, we'll make plenty.

Yet, if we ask

Jesus, we'll be forgiven

And our slates will again be empty.

Now, Lord, this life must live

Until it ends, or You come back;

And with Your help, I'll be able to

Remain on the right track.

You

Said You'd return, and I know that

Every promise You make, You keep;

'Cause You've kept every

One You've made so far, and every

Need I've had, You

Did certainly meet.

That is a very nicely written and encouraging poem ( with all the bad things happening in the world, it is encouraging to read those words).

We all need a little slack at times. And we have to cut ourselves some at times, because few others will.
