Jackpot Is Now Up To $700 Million

Since no one won the Powerball jackpot last night, it has risen from $400 million to about $700 million, which is the largest Powerball jackpot ever in the U.S., according to some reports.

It was reported that before Wednesday night's drawing, tickets were selling at 1300 per second. So you can just imagine how many more will be sold per second or minute over the next few days. The next drawing will be on Saturday night.

If no one wins Saturday's jackpot then of course it will increase again to yet another astronomical size. I'm sure that almost everyone will be getting as many of those numbers in as they can before Saturday gets here.

If this jackpot gets any higher, there may be a billion dollar winner. Either way, win, lose or break even, it probably wouldn't hurt to buy at least one ticket.

And the government can't wait for the winning number to be selected because it's payday of over half the winnings to their coffers.

Whoever wins it, it will sure change their lives, hopefully for the better. I have heard stories of lottery winners who blow it all and end up destitute and homeless.
