Help Others Reach Their Goals

A number of people on PP are getting close to cash out. Often they are looking to increase their number of coins by posting more and commenting more. For instance Paulie is looking to earn coins to cash out. I am helping him by viewing his older posts, because I have read most of his recent posts. I help myself by adding a comment to those posts I read. In this way, he gets 2 coins for my view and I get 1 coin for my comment. I like to comment because it lets me know if I have already viewed a post. And whereas I can earn a coin for each comment I make on a post (over 30 characters), the author only gets one view counted. VinceSummers is also getting close to cash out. He writes really good articles on science topics, such as one on rare earths - well do YOU know what they are - as he is a retired chemist. He also writes many articles on such diverse topics as entertainment and also spiritual matters . It is easier to find the older posts by using the RSS feed. I wrote an article about that here . Also, if you comment, the author is likely to try and find an article of yours on which to comment, so you benefit too. emoticon

Writing Articles about Newcomer's Posts

If you find a newcomer on PP, they may not be getting many comments. If you write an article mentioning some of their posts, you get coins for each one who views it and the newcomer may get some new viewers for their work.

Follow More People

If you follow more people, they may follow you back and you get more viewers. You also get more articles in your activity feed on which you can comment and thus earn more coins.

Link Back To Older Posts

Not everyone may have read all your articles, for one reason or another. Write an article linking all your posts on a particular theme or mention an older one or put a link to one that didn't get many views in a later article.

How to NOT make money

If someone is reading your older posts and commenting, you may not need to read all of those comments. Even if you DO read them, you do not need to comment on them. You as an author do not get any coins for commenting on your own post and you won't get any coins if the commenter goes back to view your response. So make best use of your time if you have a deadline (even self-imposed). emoticon

I will try some of these. I only need to make a tiny bit more than $2. But that takes as lot of time here.

Those are helpful tips. I wasn't aware of how the coin-awarding worked, so thank you for making this clear

MegL wrote on January 7, 2016, 7:41 AM

VinceSummers , I have added your name in above.

VinceSummers wrote on January 7, 2016, 8:02 AM

Oh, thank you very much . I do enjoy writing science articles. I mostly keep away from the deeper spiritual topics, though I could write in great depth and detail concerning them. It's better to do that on a personal one-on-one level, especially in answering questions, which is a two-way street, rather than a one-way street.

MegL wrote on January 7, 2016, 8:55 AM

Would you rather I amended the comment to change or remove the "spiritual" element?

All good ways to earn here. I am sure it will help some

CoralLevang wrote on January 7, 2016, 9:42 AM

MegL These are the types of articles that we need to continue to write from time to time. People need to be kept aware. Thank you for writing about these topics again. I am looking forward to being back in fullll swing sometime again....

Good tips for earning here on Persona Paper, thanks! While we don't earn from replying to reader comments, I still try to do so, as part of building a more real relationship with my readers. I feel this does have a positive effect on my earnings in the long run, as well as I do enjoy the personal factor of my time spent online.

This is a good review article on how to succeed here personapaper. I believe that I am doing fine since I only started last August.

I like to pop on a couple of times a day to catch up and comment on things and I try to reply to each comment I get.

MegL wrote on January 7, 2016, 10:39 AM

Yes, there are a number of these articles but as you say, we all need reminding from time to time.

MegL wrote on January 7, 2016, 10:40 AM

Yes, very much so. That comment was just because I was commenting on older articles to build up a writer's coins.

VinceSummers wrote on January 7, 2016, 3:33 PM

No. Not at all. What you've written is just fine.

Another great bit of advice! It's very heartening to see how many people are so close to cashout--I've a comfortable amount over 8,000 coins, myself--here's another two for you and one for me!

MegL wrote on January 7, 2016, 5:16 PM

Thank you very much. All gratefully received! emoticon

MegL , Thank you very much for reading and commenting on some of my older posts. I appreciate all of the encouragement and support you have given me!

I have just returned after being away a bit more in the real world. My mantra is to just be active here as much as I can.

AdGoggleKo wrote on January 8, 2016, 5:46 AM

How about sharing on social media ;) Oftentimes I tweet/share other's posts too :)

MegL wrote on January 8, 2016, 10:33 AM

Yes, that's very useful. And it may bring in new users. emoticon

RuthCox wrote on January 8, 2016, 2:19 PM

I often comment on older articles, too, for the same reason, especially if they've not published something new but are commenting on my articles.

crowntower wrote on January 13, 2016, 3:59 AM

Thank you for all the tips. Helping one another is the best way and always makes things easy. God bless all the works of your hands. Have a great day.

Thanks for these excellent tips.

It has been a long lull after I joined in 2015; now to get the groove back, been visiting members' old posts and been trying hard at commenting

MegL wrote on January 22, 2016, 2:41 AM

And thank you very much for your visits to my posts. emoticon

Saramarie wrote on January 26, 2016, 10:19 PM

I have been working hard here to earn coins but mine barely seem to change. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

MegL wrote on January 27, 2016, 12:58 AM

How many followers do you have? Even if they just VIEW your article and don't comment, you still get the two coins. In the past, I have put a link to a PP article I enjoyed on Facebook or Tsu or, I have gathered a few links of other people's posts and some of my own, all on the same topic and posted on my blog or website and then linked to that and let everyone know. All those things can help.
