Excited for the package.

Most of the families here in the Philippines has one or a couple of family members who work overseas as OFW's (Overseas Foreign Workers - am I correct?) and that includes me. I actually am the only one still here in the country out of four children. My brothers are in the Middle East (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) and my mom's unica hija (only daughter) is in the US (in Minnesota).

Last week I got excited to receive a text message from a courier company letting me know that a package is set to arrive Tuesday, January 5. I didn't ask any of my siblings who among them sent a package so as not to spoil the surprise, but the scheduled date of arrival has passed and it still has not arrived. I went to their website to track the status of the package and it says it has already left the warehouse and on its way to our home.

I can't wait to see what is in it. Very excited for the package to arrive.

I also feel excited whenever my sister in Qatar has package for me. I am like a kid having a new toy!

It is always fun receiving packages. What is your sister doing in Minnesota? I am originally from Wisconsin.

Hi Paulie . She works in a financial company there. She met my brother-in-law online and brought her stateside in 2012.

That is very good for her. Does she like the cold Minnesota winters?

Getting a parcel through the post still feels like Santa Claus arriving. Hope you enjoy the contents. On Facebook, one of my extended network of friends lives in the Philippines and her daughter is in America. I also know someone from here who moved to the Philippines and got married over there.

Wow!!!! I love chocolates and perfumes! Hahahah Just kidding... I love chocolates but not too much of perfumes... but it helps me to save a lot in a year not to buy perfumes because my cousins will surely have them for me... hahahaha... I guess there is a lot of goodies in there, shirts etc... God bless.

Yes, she does Paulie and will wait for her to post photos about it soon.

Hehehe! The kids surely loved the chocolates when the package finally arrived. I might as well make a follow-up post about this.

Is it William? If so, yes he is now living here in the Philippines with his wife and daughter. I got to know him through Bubblews and have since been friends on Facebook.

No his name is not William.
