Work is becoming a dread!

I feel like all I have done on this website is complain about work. The last time I complained was nine months ago though so I suppose there is that.

For those who may not know me from other sites, I am a stock clerk at a grocery store. We are a small department, only seven of us. On truck nights there are usually only the five of us. Out of all seven, only three of us are part time. Out of the three, only one of us is willing to / qualified to work on Saturday nights.

Saturday nights are back stock nights. It is where we deal with back stock, block the store, and try to keep things in order. Well for the past year, minus perhaps 8 or so Saturdays, I have worked every Saturday. Let me clarify as that sounds confusing. I have worked every Saturday of this past year except for maybe 8 times.

Let me further explain, this means that I work every single day of the weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday and Sunday are truck nights, and we have to have atleast five people there.

Now let me talk about the other two part time people. One is only available to work on Sunday nights. The other is disadvantaged and because of it is slower at the task. I know that he tries but at the same time he also doesn't take the advice we give him. He's not working things thoroughly, and it falls back on us to deal with what he has not.

It can be quite annoying and has been an annoyance for all of us. To further explain, we have two managers in our department. They are just as annoyed as the rest of us at this slow worker, and yet the upper management (my bosses boss') does not seem to care or want to do anything about it.

We also have the disadvantage of not having people applying to be a stock clerk. When we do get new people, well they hardly ever stay / work out. We got three new stock clerks last year only for them to quit after two months.

Anyway, that is why I am here. I am getting fed up with everything and I want to develop / build income online again just in case I tell my real life job to shove it!

Anyone else have problems like this?

I do think when you have these problems and start really dreading the job, it is time to try and find another job. That happened to my husband around two years ago. The job he had, really had management problems. He really felt oppressed at the job and he dreaded going to work each day. He was lucky, in that he found another job that paid a little bit less but not much less. He was so happy to tell that manager he was giving his two week notice because he had found another job.

We all have issues when it comes to work and we always have to deal with those.

I have had someone in my family tell me that they know someone who has worked for the same store I have. The same manager over the entire store was there when this gentleman worked there. Apparently this is just the way of the world atleast as far as my workplace goes. I may need to find a different employer but I dread the process. I've been with this company since 2011.
