I need help from the persona paper community

Good evening to the persona paper community. As the title says I want and need your help. Presently , I am writing for one acdemic writing site. Nevertheless, I want to expand my writing skills. As some of you might know or surmise, I was a registered nurse for 21 years till my voluntary lay off in 1996. With all my knowledge (even though some of it might me outdated), I really want to start health or medical content writing. Of course, I need to practice doing this type of writing. That is why I am asking for your help. First I need help with a list of subject index that you and other readers might like to read upon or to have health questions answered. I will also need constructive criticism on my writing per se. So, what is your answer? Can I count on some of you or all of you in giving me some ideas and subjects and critique? I will wait eagerly for your suggestions and your evaluations.

You will need an account to comment - feel free to register or login.

One health question I have had on my mind this past week (because it has been bothering me so much) is why do I and other women have such painful menstrual cycles?

MegL wrote on December 22, 2015, 6:47 PM

Hi Frankie, simple help on first aid for children is always a useful topic, when to call the doctor, when to treat it yourself and when it's a 5 star emergency.

I remember reading a book about native American women one time, who had a special tent they went to, in seclusion during their cycle. They squatted and apparently the squat position can help alleviate painful cramps.

Welcome to the site. I hope you will enjoy it.

I think what I would find most interesting would be personal experiences in nursing. People are infinitely interesting.

If you like, I'd be willing to advise you on writing. Not that I'm an expert, but I do write. "You suck" is not what I consider advice, BTW.

LeaPea2417 wrote on December 22, 2015, 8:11 PM

That is interesting. I didn't know that.

I would sure appreciate anything you can offer about osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. I'll be glad to comment on any of your posts I read as to content and usefulness of information.

I would certainly welcome any articles you post on health and medical issues. Since I had a cancerous kidney removed in April, I would especially appreciate any articles about cancer and kidneys. Thank you in advance for writing these articles.

I am not asking for advice on nursing but I will definitely share my experiences in the health care field whether it be in the nursing, medical capacities or even natural (for which I would have to do some research) field.

frankie2015 wrote on December 23, 2015, 10:46 AM

I will do some research on the subject because I am done with these monthly episodes (thank God). I remember my periods were also very painful at times, but I never bothered to find how why. My two sisters and mother also had the same painful menstrual cycle so i just assumed it was normal. I am pretty sure it has to do with the positioning of the uterus (whether anterior or posterior flex), or with possible adhesions around the uterus. But I will look into it and write an article with answers for you.

This subject never crossed my mind but I will do some research and draw from my experience. Although I never have had children, I know it is hard for a parent to determine when or when not to bring a child either to a physician or an emergency department. When it comes to emergency care, I know from experience that a lot of the patients who come in an emergency department do not really need emergency care. I will read up again on the subject and definitely try to answer your legitimate questions.

When it comes to personal experiences in nursing, I recall several episodes. But I have to admit that I do not really want to talk about them because they bring out some really sad memories. What I really want to talk about are either medical conditions, treatments, signs and symptoms etc. But I will attempt at least one article on a personal experience. I cannot tell you when but look out for it. Thank you very much for your support.

frankie2015 wrote on December 23, 2015, 10:57 AM

I do not have that much experience in these subjects but they are very interesting. I will research and draw up from some short lived past experiences and write on these two very specific subjects. At the risk of sounding nosy, do you or do you know somebody who suffers from either one of these conditions? Thank you for bringing forth two specific subjects to write about. I will start posting health related articles as soon as the Christmas and New Year holidays are gone by. Watch out for them and give me your opinion,

I assume that the surgery went well since you are writing right now. I also assume that your other kidney is working properly. I worked for a number of years in the dialysis unit (AKU or artificial kidney unit). I can write on the subject of diseases affecting the kidneys, their repercussions and treatments. I hope you will enjoy my upcoming articles. I will appreciate any feedback also from you and any other members of persona paper. Thank you very much for your suggestion.

Thank you.

msiduri wrote on December 23, 2015, 12:03 PM

Fair enough. I understand the sadness. I look forward to whatever you wish to write.

DWDavisRSL wrote on December 23, 2015, 5:15 PM

I am actually blessed with both of the conditions I mentioned. I will look forward to your articles.

I had my operation at the end of April of 2015. When i had my last checkup, my urologist said that my Creatnin reading was still high but coming down. Anything you can write on chronic kidney disease is appreciated.

frankie2015 wrote on December 24, 2015, 10:11 AM

Well, you are in luck. As I have already mentioned, I worked in the dialysis unit where renal failure patients are treated with the artificial kidney. I do not remember all the normal blood work numbers but creatinine is a big problem in kidney failure. There is also BUN, K (potassium), Na (sodium) and probably a few more. Did you also know that renal failure patients are also mostly anemic. I do not remember the exact mechanism of what causes this anemia but I will refresh my memory. I still have not started writing any articles yet (due to the Christmas season) but watch out for them in January and February. Thank you very much for your support on my endeavour and also for the subject which used to be right up my old alley. I cannot wait to rake my brains for past information, signs and symptoms, treatments etc. Again, thank you.

The writing subject categories list is in the main article template and if you place it in random you can subtitle your article in the body of the text using a keyword or keywords like ' Health and Fitness' or "Medicine and Health' I am not sure of all the categories listed but if enough on a certain subject were to be presented by informed writers here, there might be future listings of added topics in the list as per request of the site owners.

why do they say that being closer to your dangerous, because it can damage the brain of a pet owner... that in the end might lose its sanity> Why is that. I really want to play with my cats when they are still alive, and I am still playing with the other cats outside our home.

I hope you will find time to reach again here in PersonaPaper because I found out that your last post was 11 months ago.

I'd be happy to help in any way I can. I'd be happy to read any article you write and help in that way. Look forward to reading your articles.

I'm interested in skin conditions. How they are to be distinguished clearly. Of course, there are other ailments, including aneurysm. As to any suggestions for you: please make sure your spelling and grammar are satisfactory. You lose points big-time for bad spelling and grammar. It's important for credibility that they are correct.
