SEO is the means of getting search engines to find your website and boost it up the rankings. A page one Google listing is VERY helpful for getting your site noticed!
A number of people have written about this on here and I am going to add to that by providing a link to a free downloadable book on SEO, written by an internet marketer. The information in the book is very useful and timely. It is a new book, just issued. Now, the book is written by an SEO expert so you will not be surprised to hear that there are affiliate links in the book, however, you do not have to follow them. Some people have their own blog because they have something to write about that they want to tell everyone about, whether arts and crafts, political, life hacks, comedy, sport, hobby, anything, etc. Other people blog because they want to earn money from people visiting their blog. If you only want to have somewhere to write, then you may as well stay and write on PP, because you earn a little money for your blogging. If you want to run a blog to earn money, it takes dedication to get the TRAFFIC. Traffic is thelife blood of any web site or blog that wants to make money. Traffic is eyeballs reaching your site and staying there for at least 30 seconds and preferably longer. That traffic can be translated to income from advertisements on your site.
