Ho, Ho, Ho from My Dog Valentino

I do believe this could very well be a not-so-jolly "Ho, ho, ho!" from my dog Valentino. He wanted to taste the Christmas tree on my desk, not pose for a picture. And not even get a treat for doing so. "Bah, humbug!"

The tree is a gift from Momma Jan (as I call this friend who is also my boss's mom.) She wanted me to have a tree in my room for the Christmas holiday.

This tree is handmade, although Momma Jan did not make it herself. By bending and connecting wire coat hangers , the shape of the tree was created, which was then covered in a green tinsel garland wrapping from its top to its bottom. Tiny red velvet bows and a string of little white lights adorn the tree.

I think my Valentino will get into the spirit of Christmas as the days of December go by. (And so shall I.) In fact, just the other day, my dog received his first gift -- his first dog sweater -- in Christmas red, of course!

A Christmas tree out of wire hangers is a novel way. It looks very good. Valentinio will appreciate the sweater when he goes out in the frigid air.

He doesn't look very happy in this picture. Hopefully he will learn that the tree is supposed to cheer him up.

You bet Valentino will appreciate the warmth of his sweater! Paulie I just edited the article adding the link I'd found for making a tree with hangers. I just reralized I forgot the link when I published last night!

Yes, dog treats are his idea of holiday cheer, ha!

The tree looks good and did the sweater fit Valentino. He really does not look the type to want to wear a sweater.

I hope he gets more into the spirit soon Love the tree

Yes, markgraham Valentino's sweater did fit. There's a link in this article to my blog post about it, with pictures! He surprised me and wore the sweater well!

I like the tree too and it is nice having one here on my desk. I think maybe if I bake some dog Christmas cookies that Valentino might jump right into the spirit of things!

A dog sweater! I have seen a few dogs round here wearing dog coats but I haven't seen any in Christmas jumpers.

Hope Valentino did not do much harm to your tree. That's indeed an innovative idea. We did one of ours a long time ago with bamboo sticks as the base. Shall write a post on it.

RuthCox . thank you very much for adding the link. Maybe now I can try making my own Christmas tree.

I hope you do and share it with us too!

I mostly see the small dogs dressed but now my big boy is dressing warm in his sweater too.

Oh no, he didn't damage the tree at all, just didn't care for the fact that it isn't a dog treat! I'm headed to read your bamboo tree post.

If I'd known I'd have time to read a few posts here, I would've added this to the Link Log. Good to see the handsome hound again!

@priscillaking My hound dog and I are happy to be back online. It's been a whirlwind summer and fall for us but we're finally settling into our life together.

Wow! I guess Valentino is already happy for his gift and might forget about your handmade tree. Hehehe. I know Christmas will always be the best in every person's heart who have Christ in it. God bless and Merry Christmas to you. May Jesus bless all your unspoken dreams for this year... which is so easy for him, he already gave His life to us.. a simple dream is just a piece of cake for him... I know He will give it just have faith, as long as it is for your own good God will give it in a very surprising way.
