What Happened To Those Nights Of Yore

Those nights of yore which I long for when I could stay up until all hours, get four hours sleep, rise with the Sun, and power through the day on all cylinders.

Of course that was a long time ago in a life far removed from the one I'm living now.

Tiger is telling me it is time to head up to bed and get to sleep. I have one more day of teaching this week and then on Friday I go in to get my hip shot again.

Tomorrow will be a busy day for me, too, as I have to go back to the school at 7pm for the Winter Band and Chorus Concert. I'm looking quite forward to it as I won't be there Friday to hear them perform for the students.

I do have to write up my sub plan tomorrow and leave it, with rosters, and the pile of work I have prepared, for the lady who will be substituting for me. That won't take too long, as I already have a template set up, and all she will have to do with the first group is take them to the concert from 8 to 9am.

So I will bid you a fond adieu and hope you all have a restful night.

Have a good sleep and your job as a teacher, I admire that. Teachers are special. You may have mentioned it before in one of your posts but I forget. What subject do you teach and what grade do you teach?

May I ask why you have to go in and get another hip shot again? Is there a chronic problem with your hip?

Sleep well, DW. And have a great teaching day tomorrow! I was thinking of you and teaching them today....I saw something that I thought you would like or they would like today....but that is for another story.

On the plus side, with the need to ration energy expenditure I don't waste time on minor things, just make sure the important things get done.

I am learning to be better about that, but with a full teaching load there is very little energy left at the end of the day.

I hope your hip feels better after the shot. Hope the substitute has a good day. You know how students 'help' subs. You have a good group of students though.

and not a great deal of time either, I suspect.
