Above Freezing Temperatures

It has finally registered above freezing temperature on the thermometer here in Canal Winchester, Ohio, today! It is currently 33 degrees.

I walked my dog Valentino around eight o'clock this morning. We crawled right back into our warm bed upon our return so I did not check the temperature. Second trip out, around ten o'clock, it was still below freezing temperatures--31 degrees!

Our forecast says high of 43 today and sunny. Well, I sure wish that sunshine and a few degrees warmer would hurry up and get here!

My old bones are feeling a bit frigid at the moment. And even Valentino has stayed pretty much curled up in a ball atop the comforter on my bed all day, so I imagine he is feeling the chill of the air too.

it is not quite that cold here in north east Georgia, but we did have frost last night.

I love this photo, Ruth. And I am glad that the frigid temperatures are not here in western Washington! Please keep them there in Canal Winchester!

We got there about the same time, but I could tell by the frost melting off of the trees when I went out lol

It's colder than usual here, too. I'm shivering in my office, trying not to turn up the thermostat.

Yes, frosty here too, and foggy for the first half of the day!

I am glad you like this photo, CoralLevang . This is the Historical Society building and is right across the street from me. I'll have to get some more shots of it to share. Hopefully you will stay above freezing. We won't, but I guess it is winter so I better get used to it!

You're not in Kansas anymore, Dorothy! emoticon :winking:

Do you ever get subzero temperatures in your area?

RuthCox wrote on December 6, 2015, 11:15 AM

On occasion we do, Paulie , but hopefully not again this year! I, fortunately, was living in Florida the past two winters when Ohio had record cold with sub-zero temps and snowfall.

I think, having spent a couple of years in Florida, I am not yet ready for my first winter back in Ohio!

Yes, time to stay in and stay warm. I am getting used to layered attire all over again!

It is being a nice one so far. Breaking you back in slowly. Mother nature must like you

How our pets behave is a sure indicator of what the weather churns out for us.
