Writing Prompt: Do You Believe In Karma

I don't really have much to blog about right now. I'm off babysitting duty for a few days, and getting ready to work on a few assignments. I -may- be running out tonight, and AHS Hotel is on. Business as usual lol.

I decided to do a writing prompt instead of the usual blog. I went through what was left of the 365 Blogging Challenge (which I was doing over on Bubblews before), and decided to try one that would be a little different than my usual blogs. The writing prompt asks "Do you believe in karma?"

Yes. I do believe in karma. I don't know why, but I just do. I don't like to be mean to people for two reasons --- 1. I'm not a mean person; and I don't think I could look myself in the mirror if I purposely hurt someone. 2. I don't want it to come back on me. I have told friends who would have an issue with someone else that karma will catch up to them. I have seen people who treat others badly wind up with the same treatment from someone else, and I gotta wonder if that was karma doing it's job. It's not exactly a cycle I would like to see repeated though, as two wrongs do not make a right.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not nice -nor do I do good things- just for the sake of karma. I am a nice person, and I try to do good things, because I want to. I have seen other people get hit with good karma. Like one of my best friends was recently speaking of how she had a good year. Well, anyone who knows her, knows she is a wonderful person, and I believe she deserved to have a good year.

Sooo, yes, I believe in karma. If you do not believe in karma, that is just fine by me, as long as you can respect that I do. Thanks. :)

This was an interesting challenge, and different from my usual posts, so I am glad I decided to try this one out. I'm going to get back to my work. You all have a good Wednesday and take care. :)

I agree. Being decent and treating people decently are their own reward. Being a nasty so-and-so tends to bite you in the read end.

I do believe in that . I believe if you do good things, you will be rewarded and if you do things to hurt others, you will get paid back.

Based on my personal experiences, I do believe in karma, and that what "goes around, comes around."

msiduri - Right. I like to make people happy, especially my loved ones. I couldn't be nasty to someone and then look myself in the mirror.

LeaPea2417 - Yep. It takes a bit for karma to catch up to the hurtful ones, but it eventually does get there.

Paulie - I believe in the same thing.

I feel stupid, but what do you mean by that?
