The prompt for today is: nightmares

This is what I wrote:

I can’t remember the last time I had an actual nightmare. My dreams are just … weird. Like the one the other night where I was watching a high school drama version of Jessica Jones, which just doesn’t work. The closest I’ll get to a nightmare is a dream where I trip or something and jolt myself awake. But that’s it. I haven’t scared myself awake in thirty years or so. Years ago I dated a woman who had night terrors and would wake up every night drenched in sweat. I felt sorry for her, but I really couldn’t relate.
