My Saturday Plans for Thanksgiving Weekend

I have shared several times about a Social Activities group I joined a while back when I moved to the county where I live. I found them through a website called, It is NOT a "hook up" website, but instead a way to get together with people with like interests.

In this case, it is simply about socializing. The people most active in this particular group tend to be in their 40s to 60s. I have been to a variety of "meet ups" with them, including: Brunch, zip-lining, hiking, Bunco, picnics, game night, dancing, etc. They have had many other events, I have not been able to attend.

Thankfully, I am getting together tomorrow at 5 p.m. with this group for a Thanksgiving-themed Potluck and Game Night. I will get my Thanksgiving meal "fix," after all!

I have not yet decided what I will throw together to bring with me, but I will think of something! I do not like to sign up and be locked into what I will bring; rather, I like it to be a surprise!

I'm glad to hear you have a good resource for friendships.

More for social acquaintances, rather than "friendship"....

It's always great to get a surprise when you are eating out. Glad you are going to have a social time for the holiday.

I'm with you on the sign-ups. I guess the organizers want to make sure they get more than salads and desserts. Have a good time. Are the meetups just for singles?

I hope you have a great time at your Potluck and Game Night.

BarbRad has nearly every kind of gathering you might think of. I currently belong to this social activities group, and also one called Creative Circle for Women, in my area. I have also belonged to a musician's group, and others. So, no...they are not only for singles. I would encourage you to go check out the website and explore it a little bit. Literally, every kind of group that is imaginable is likely there. It all depends on the organizers, and anyone can be an organizer.
