Trust and Good News

I just received an email with some wonderful news from our lead for the project I was involved with in October and November.

Typically, when one works on contract, it takes on average about 90 days for payment from a client company. That would have put us into January to see the fruits of our labor. It is one of the drawbacks to working as a consultant, and some people will not take that risk, opting instead for the "sure thing" at a job that is un-fulfilling in many aspects.

When I accepted this project, and also offered the same opportunity to my sister, I began to recite and remind of this mantra:

Trust the process. Trust others. Trust yourself.

Our lead has just informed us that the client company has paid the project in full and that payment for work that has been done can be expected within the next 10 days.

Good things DO happen when we learn the importance of TRUST.

Wonderful news for you! I am in a life place where I am really putting this thought process into practice, trusting that my needs shall be met. I am doing my best to keep the faith and not to worry about things. It makes for much happier spirit this way.

Always take those little 'extras' as a bonus, because reality isn't usually about bonuses.

I am really happy that you are getting paid early. It's a great time of year to have that happen.
