Through the Haze of New Ventures

Life circumstances have changed for me in recent months, necessitating that I find ways to increase my income. As many of us know who've been writing on the Internet for any time, finding lucrative ventures is often like looking for that proverbial needle in a haystack.

In my search for new writing venues, and then becoming familiarized with those I chose, I've had less time for interaction here at Persona Paper. Fortunately, I've been able to log in daily and read a number of posts, but my time for commenting or writing my own posts has been limited. I find I truly miss the interaction of the comments, that being one of the major drawing cards for me at this site.

My intention going forward is to set aside a certain amount of time each day to read and interact here. I miss the friendships and acquaintances I've made through my restricted activity of late. There is value in those relationships and interactions that cannot be measured monetarily, and conversely, money does not feed my spirit.

It isn't a haze - it's a fog! Starting up a new writing venture ranks right up there with having root canal work done without anesthetic! It's great when it all comes together though! emoticon

I hear you! Do you have some area of expertise? It can be just about any area, I think. If so, consider DecodedEverything. It's a great and friendly site -- very helpful people, especially admin and editors. We even offer ideas! If you qualify (most do, I think) you get $10 per article plus clicks. I write science, but some write history, some philosophy, some about children and homeschool, some about math, some weather. Just a ton of topics. I won't get any money for it, but just tell 'em Vince sent you. Yes, they do know me!

I agree with Kasman. Writing is for pleasure but when you do it as a profession and find somewhere to share it. It becomes more of joy.

Yes, my time has been limited too. I am currently typing, standing up, on a keyboard with the g and n letter tiles missing, while I babysit 2 of my granddaughters, whose parents are watching rugby in the cold, the dark, possibly rain and possibly snow!!!!! What can I say? I am at least warm and dry!

Life is definitely interfering with my writing time these days. I don't know how much time I will have to read and comment. I'm just taking it one day at a time. Since they approved me here I would like to write at least a little bit every day.

It is just fine if it is for your own good. I wish you the best of everything in your ventures.

I find myself in that same life circumstance, so wishing us both good luck with that! I agree that the relationships we create as we write, read, and interact have immeasurable value.

LIfe's ventures...seems like that's going around lately.

This is one of my favorite posts. There is such love and peace that shines through it.
Looking forward to catching up whenever and however we can. You are missed. Hugs.

"Money does not feed my spirit" is the exact attitude all of us should have when interacting with our followers here on Persona Paper.

Absolutely agree and I feel the same. It is nice to come here and unwind and have fun. I really miss it too and enjoy it while I am here.
