Thanksgiving Day Is Arriving Soon!
We are looking forward to spending Thanksgiving Day with our son and new daughter in law this year. This is their first time hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for the family. We are assigned the green bean casserole and I volunteered to make the brownies and pecan pie too. They both work and I thought might as well help more. I remember those days of working outside the home and still having to cook a big Thanksgiving Dinner with no help. It can be much for one person.
I am a make it from scratch, self taught, 40 years plus cook. I really enjoy cooking so much and so I do. I have many saved for ever recipes and still save recipes from such found places as magazines, cook books, pinterest, google, and friends and family. I guess one could say I am a recipe collector and have been since my teens. My son wants to get a book published of just my recipes. I think it is s grand idea that way I won't have to search through all those recipes.
Update: We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our son and his family.
Wishing all of you and yours the best holiday season ever!
