No Viper Time for Me

Yeahhhh, “Viper Time” (or ) is a hashtag I use on social media whenever Randy Orton is out wrestling or cutting a promo (interview). I use it because his nickname is “The Viper.” Welp, it’s safe to say that I won’t be using that hashtag much, if at all, in the next four to six months. :(

I think I mentioned in a recent post that he was hurt and it may require surgery. He was born with hypermobile shoulders and has been working with the injury for a few months now. It finally dislocated when he was taking out the trash (and I don’t even find that funny like some fans do). The WWE FINALLY posted an update last night, and it looks like Randy is going to need surgery. :( He has a partially torn rotator cuff and some stretched ligaments. The doctor pretty much said he needs to get this fixed or he WILL dislocate his shoulder again. The recovery time is four to six months.

This means I will NOT be seeing him at the live event on December 30th. There is no “he may come back early” for me. He needs the surgery or it’s going to get worse, and he’s not a stupid guy, he’s going to get the surgery. He is also getting married in two weeks so I’m ASSUMING that he is going to wait until after the wedding to have the surgery done. This is the show I have third row seats for, and Randy was pretty much the main attraction for me, so this does sting a bit. I’m still going to the show, and I’m sure I’m going to have a blast, but right now it just sucks. :(

He may also miss Wrestlemania 32. Wrestlemania is basically the Super Bowl of wrestling and Randy has never missed one. If he can recover in four months, then he MAY be able to at least do a run-in or something, in my opinion. But nobody knows how that is going to go right now, and may not know until the recovery process begins.

It sucks to not have your favorite there for (about) half a year, but I do hope this takes care of the problem because his health is more important. I’ll be waiting to cheer him on when he gets back.

P.S. - I’m not responding to any “Wrestling is fake” type comments. Thanks.

I’m gonna get back to my work. Sorry I haven’t been around much. You all take care.

I hope that he gets back in shape so you can see him again

Aww, poor Randy. He must be hurting a good bit. I was hoping the injury wouldn't be so severe. Hopefully, he gets well soon. Sorry to hear that you can't see him,.

I'm sorry to hear about Randy's injury and that you won't be able to see him. Who are some of your other favorite wrestlers now?

ViperGirl85 wrote on November 4, 2015, 10:14 PM

Thanks. Hopefully he'll be as good as new come May-ish. :-/

Thanks. :( I was hoping the same, but knew it would be bad, he has a history of shoulder issues. I need ringside for the NEXT event now, providing he's back by the time the next one rolls around. And if they could add Stardust to our lineup, that would be greatttttt.

Thanks. I have several favorites, including John Cena, Stardust, The Undertaker and Chris Jericho.

Paulie wrote on November 4, 2015, 10:42 PM

I have heard of all of them except Stardust. Is he fairly new?

ViperGirl85 wrote on November 4, 2015, 10:46 PM

Nah, it's just a gimmick/character. He's actually Cody Rhodes --- son of the late Dusty Rhodes; brother to Goldust.

I assume you know of Dusty Rhodes and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper? Sadly, they both passed away this year. :(

Yes, I saw both of them wrestle. I especially liked Roddy Piper and the show he put on. I really liked watching him put the sleeper hold on!

That would be awesome! If you get it, take lots of pictures!
Stardust, is crazy! I only saw him a few times, but when I first saw him my automatic reaction was to not like him. I didn't give him a chance, I probably should. My Cousin was telling me is good.

First of all, I totally need to respond to your email. I'm sowwyyyyy.
Secondly, I ALWAYS take pics at the shows, especially when Viper is there. emoticon  Thirdly, definitely give him a chance. Look up Cody Rhodes, you can see his characters before he was Stardust. He is amazing in the ring, on the mic and with whatever character they give him --- just amazing all around. You should also look up his finisher, "The Disaster Kick". :)

I always loved the Piper's Pit. I'm grateful to have seen it in person a few years ago.

I got your last email.
Will do! I will check that out some time tonight. Right now, I am a bit late for something.

No rush on the email or checking out Stardust. :)
