I Voted

Call me whatever you wish, but today you can call me a voter because I did cast my ballot. It fills me with pride to go to my local voting place and go through the brief process to check in and be given the ballot form to be completed.

My polling place is the local library. Instead of electronic voting machines, we are given a ballot on which we fill in the circles for the vote we want to cast on each issue and candidate. Once that's completed, there's a handy-dandy machine that looks something like a big scanner into which the ballots are placed and stored. Voila! The process is complete -- or almost. I still need to pick up my sticker that proudly proclaims, "I heart (Ohio) voting."

I hope you had the opportunity to have either cast an absentee ballot, an early ballot or a ballot today. There's still time left to do so.

On another note, please check out this month's Best Caption Contest by clicking on the link! I hope to read you there. : )

Proud that you do your civic duty! And thank you, too, for the shout!!

I have not had the opportunity to vote yet. I have voted by absentee ballot for a few years, now.

We voted this morning after we figured out which line we belonged in. They changed are voting places this year

Good for you on voting, but I could never make a decision during any election and I just hope for the best. I do not complain when something goes wrong either.

We will have our election on the 2nd quarter next year and I will surely vote.

You're welcome for the shout out and yes ma'am, I did my civic duty.

More and more people I know are using absentee ballots for voting. I think it's a good idea and if I didn't live mere blocks from the polling place, I would do it, too.

Even in our little city I had to decide which precinct I belonged to at the polls. Now I'm looking forward to seeing the results trickle in.

I realize not everyone feels about voting as I do. I understand there are people who abstain for many different reasons.

Do you folks there have options such as ours, like absentee or early voting?

When you voted in the library, did you have a private booth so that your vote was secret? I just read that voters in your state didn't approve the recreational use of marijuana which I think is a good decision on their part.

I do not complain about the elections and voting it is the after effects when the whoever wins or loses the banter that goes on for days after sometimes. What a headache.

I vote in every election, but we didn't have one today. I usually vote absentee now.
