Waterlogged - There's an App for That

Waterlogged - There’s an App for That

How many ounces of water do you drink per day?

Are you getting enough?

How do you know?

Am I asking too many questions?

Do you know how important it is to drink enough water?

It is and you should know. I’m not going to tout the importance of drinking plenty of water in this post except to say that your physical body needs it, as well as your mental one.

So how much is enough?

Experts say (whomever THEY are) that drinking half your body weight in ounces of water daily is the new (old?) trend.

And yes, there’s an app for that.

Waterlogged - it's free - tracks your ounces in whatever increments you set up, as well as whatever goal for the day you wish to have. I currently work toward a goal of drinking 100 ounces per day, slightly less than half my body weight in ounces.

I regularly hit that 100 ounce goal, going over by 8 ounces, most every single day. The Waterlogged app then gives me a wicked cool little “fist bump” to let me know that I’m successful in working toward a healthy goal.

So what happens when I don’t reach my water goal?

No one yells at me and my phone doesn’t explode.

But I do tend to feel it in other ways - head and body.

Waterlogged. This smartphone app keeps me honest about how much water I’m taking in and I know that I’m doing my body GOOD!

Going to look for this app. I hope I can find this for my Ipad. Thanks.

I've never heard of this app but I do lug a 64oz water bottle with me everywhere I go. I figure I need to drink about one and a half of them a day and that is how I try and track it.

You're phone might explode though... you never know lol. Sounds like a good app. In fact I may download it myself. I assume you have to enter figures every time you take a drink?

#pablina - I use a red solo cup 18 ounces, to get the bulk of my water in (if I'm out, I ask what the ounces of the cup is ;) ) and I have that measurement in my app, so it's easy :) That's why I go over my goal. 6 of those, daily and I'm good :) It's easy, really :) Right now I have 10 ounces to go :) YAY :)

And no explosions so far ;)

But do you DO that ? I used to try something similar but found that I wasn't finishing the jug. I do better now that I record each cup. Everyone has to find a way ;)

You should be able to, - it's iPhone capable :) Good luck to you :)
