No electricity for 11 hours

few days ago our housing area had received a public notice that today there would be a power cut off from 10am to 7pm at night. Hence, this mirning at 10.30am the power was cut off abruptly. It was total quitness in the whole house. The only thing I could hear is the ringing sound in my eardrum. It that tinnitus? Soon, it became pretty hot and humid even though I had open up the sliding door and all windows. You see, the haze is still in the air. Thereto, with power cut off, it really added salt to the wound. No wind, hot air and dusty haze fill up the environment. With no electricity, all I could hear are the birds chirping in the trees, neighbor preparing something in the back kitchen and a few cars passing by the lanes. Mist if my neighbors drove out of their homes because nobody could stand the indoor heat. Everyone is heading to shopping mall for free air cond abd window shopping. Here i am writing out my daily rant in evernote while i sit on the sofa, hearing the pigeons cooed, crows gawking and sparrows chriping. Nature doesn't mind the heat, they seems to be cheerful. Why can't we be cheerful when there is no electricity?

All I can say is that we are spoiled with the air-conditioning and all the other good things electric power gives us.

True,we are spoiled using air conditioners and fans. But then in earlier times we used to have pure air at least.

I dont use our air so would not miss it. But I like it very warm anyways

I have been conditioned by the air conditioning and am not ashamed to admit it. I don't tolerate heat very well and certainly not high humidity heat. I hope your power is soon restored so you can feel comfortable.

I think we're just so used to having electricity that sometimes we take it for granted. I am guilty of this, as well. We certainly should try and just be contend.
