Dear Memories of Mom

I enjoy snowflakes, don't you? When I was young my mother would take paper and scissors and cut them out. We would take them on the window or even put some in the Christmas tree sometimes. I always enjoyed this and thought they were beautiful.

Several years ago I found this site where you can go and make you own snowflakes without needing paper or scissors. I share it with my friends on whatever social media site I am on each year. Here is the link:

Our students tend to make a big mess each year cutting out snowflakes, usually as a geometry project in math class. The snowflakes are beautiful but the custodian always grumbles about the bits of paper that seem to find their way out to the hall. Today's students have no concept of the idea "Clean up after yourself."
