By The Sea

This is really for &VisionOfHope who mentioned he loved to be by the sea. I have been taking a few photos recently. Not many come out the way I want, should really use a tripod. But the pictures are taken on walks, not photographic outings and I have enough catching up to do, without setting up a tripod and tripping over it. We have had beautiful weather here the last couple of weeks and the tide has been right to see the grey Heron, even if I missed it a couple of times . So I took the camera with me a few times and got seeing it, though I wasn't happy with most of the shots, even when I used the telephoto lens. But here are a couple that show the sea (Belfast Lough, leading into the Irish Sea).

I think the one of the seagulls should be entitled "Come on in, the water's fine!" The grey heron caught a fish and I caught it on camera but the photo wasn't good enough to use.

I enjoy the pictures and believe I would very much enjoy visiting that seaside town.

These are perfectly good photographs. I find that using a digital camera makes me a bit nervous. i have more fun with my 35mm Pentax and Canon. They both are pretty nice to use. For my own pleasure I would put a tripod at a beach at a secluded spot and do a video recording of the natural sounds of the sea to playback later to help remind me of how relaxing it would be to relive it.

I would like to get an audio recording of sea sounds. Just haven't got round to working out how to do it. I may need to purchase a gopro or similar. Are your Pentax and canon film cameras? Can you still get film?

Considering they are snapshots ,they are very good .What I love the most is the first one with a blue and gold sunset.

Appreciate the pictures. It feels good that I can see a glimpse of the sea at least. I have been missing it lately

I grew up and live by the beach. I have lots of photos and videos on the other site (sunrise, low tide, high tide, fishes, seashells and crustaceans, etc.)
