Reviewing Places I Write/Have Written
As many of us writers know, Bubblews paid the best -- for a while. I am grateful it lasted as long as it did.
Yet most of us know how it ended.
Today, I'm grateful to see I have ANY activity and peeps who followed me here still follow. Hello!
I have been busy working and writing with Bodiemor and envisioning a future being paid to write. I know you can relate!
I have seen many of you, and some from Bubblews on Google+ from time to time. That made me happy that you guys were still visible!
I see some peeps on Dailytwocents, mostly Dudley or Javaman. Yet I tried to get accepted as an author there for weeks and somehow I wasn't good enough. Oh well!
So. For those reading today I'll write a review of a tv series I watched on Hulu.com. I get Hulu Plus. But not the "commercial free" Hulu Plus for 4 dollars more. I can use a bathroom break lol!
The Bridge. Wow! Originally a Danish series (and I'd love to see it!) this adaptation takes place in El Paso Texas and Ciudad (city) Juarez, Mexico. Yes there is a huge bridge there. The Bridge Of The Americas. Sounds like a good thing right?
And it is for those who cross daily for work and -- nothing ever happens.
Except for those whom it does. Drug trade? You bet!
Human trafficking? Oh you really bet. Even cops from Texas involved.
Very well written characters. And strong female characters. Always a PLUS right?
Yes, it deals with the grimier aspects of life.
Which are everywhere, but in some places, better hidden.
Is it our civic duty to watch such a series? Or to watch "Sicario" a very intense new film with the same theme and background? No, not at all.
Yet, if we want answers as to why some things are the way they are -- despite the many law enforcement agencies that our tax dollars support -- yes, watch.
Nice to check in here today. Image, I cite fair use.
