Lucky Number 13: Dollars, in this case

I remember not too many months ago when I reached 13 dollars the first time. It seemed to take so long to reach these milestones. Yet, they do not seem quite so unattainable any more. It does require some work, however. We cannot rely solely on luck.

I used to work for a sales manager who called an emergency meeting after hearing some of the team complaining about me for meeting and exceeding my goals. I was unaware of the complaints, but I will never forget what came of that meeting.

The harder you work, the luckier you get!

It is so important to do what works for you. Some have more time, more energy, more flexibility. Figuring out that plan that fits within your schedule, and then working for it one article or one coin at a time, keeps you moving in the right direction.

The old expression: Luck is where opportunity and preparation meet.

I see students all the time who would rather try and intimidate or embarrass their hardworking classmates into doing less so their own slack attitude does show so badly. Without pointing anybody out, I explain to them that the kids who seem cool now, won't seem as cool when they're forty and still working the same job they had in high school because they couldn't hack it in college.

We are good for one another to keep each other going. I can't post any more for today.

It still happens to some, even in our 50s and 60s. Those who are not successful begrudge those who work hard for it.

Congratulations on meeting this goal. When I was working for the government, I was working very hard, but not very smartly. You have to combine the two.

Learning the balance is difficult for many of us.

I like that, 'The harder you work the luckier you get'. Very true

That is so true, and I'm sure that happens on PP, too.
