Well, I'm Still Alive!

I haven't gotten the chance to post over here, and I barely got the chance to post at another website this week. As I usually say --- life happens.

The clients I have been working with have not posted any work this past week, which meant I had to take a chance with other clients. Now these are longer assignments; better pay, but more research. I also had to make sure I did a good job, for both the client and the editors. So this meant concentrating more on those assignments and less on my blogging. But hey, this is what I do for a living, and what pays me more, so I need to try to leave a good impression. I joined a few writing teams, and I do hope they add more work soon, and took an assignment for one I have not worked with yet. I am also hoping the team on another website adds their monthly work soon, since it is October now.

I do need to start making time to blog and such, just to give my brain a break from 600+ word articles. I enjoy my time on here and elsewhere, but I wanted to make sure everything went okay with those clients.

Some of them have accepted the work, and others have not accepted or asked for revision. When a few days go by without them accepting/rejecting/etc., it usually means they're going to "auto-approve" it, so I expect those assignments will go towards my next payday. I got paid from Zerys today, and I cash out on Textbroker tonight. I also get paid from babysitting tomorrow, so woo-hoo lol.

I did go out with my best friend earlier, came home and rested for a bit...and then got started on my writing. My teenage niece and I watched the original Children of The Corn to start off the Halloween season. :) We're going to watch 1-2 horror/Halloween themed movies a day. I know, I know, why didn't we watch the original Halloween? We're saving that for...Halloween lol! We always end the season with that one, and we're keeping to tradition.

I may be going out tomorrow too, but I'll check the job boards when I get home. I renewed my Writer Access account. I haven't found anything that sticks out to me yet, but I have seen Casting Calls at least once or twice a week, so that's always a good thing. I'm glad to have three job boards to check now, rather than two, and hopefully I can start grabbing more orders over there.

I have no idea what I'm doing this weekend in terms of blogging. Why? Because we have some extremely crummy weather headed our way. I assume we're not going out this weekend, but there's always that chance of us losing power. Ugh, I hope not. We still have the a/c in until next month, so it'll get pretty hot in here. :-/

The WWE tickets go on sale this upcoming week, and I'm hoping to grab the seats I want. I guess I'll keep you all updated, if you want lol.

Alrighty, I'm gonna go ahead and wrap this post up. It's been a few days so I wanted to get a post in here. You all take care and enjoy your upcoming weekend. And if the bad weather is headed your way - please be safe!

Congratulations on the new clients and those that have approved or auto-approved your work. I hope the revisions are reasonable and those are accepted on the first try. : )

That sounds like hard work getting new clients. It will pay off.

Awe thanks! I didn't receive any revisions, they just accepted them, and one of my recent clients just sent me several assignments today. emoticon
I always anticipate revision requests with new clients, but so far it's been okay. Thanks again! :)
