The Weekend That NEVER Was!
Tuesday, September 22, 2015, here in Manila. In the other parts of the world, it is still Monday night for you. Go ahead and enjoy your MondayNightFootball game between the NewYorkJets and the IndianaColts .
I figured since it is still Monday out there, I might as well sneak in this post. Anyway, putting up this post a day late reflects the kind of weekend I had - the kind of weekend that you wouldn't want.
Anyway, the past weekend there were a lot of great events here in Manila - events that i wasn't able to attend to because of one reason or another.
I wasn't able to attend the APCC Manila and hobnob with PaulBettany or NatalieEmmanuel . Neither was I able to look, take pictures, or gawk at the IronManHulkbustersuit or the stormtroopers from the 501stLegion . I wasn't able to do any of that.
A couple of blocks away, The Best Of Anime 2015 (BOA 2015) was being held. No, I'm not an anime fan but those cute, weird, out of this world cosplayers are great photo subjects! I wasn't able to take photos of cosplay fanatics, gamers, toy and figurine collectors, and Japanophiles because I wasn't there. Again, I wasn't able to do that.
BOA2015 is actually part of the 36th Manila International Book Fair .
I went to last year's ManilaInternationalBookFair and even wrote a post about it. This year was said to be the biggest bookfair and of course, I just had to miss it!. Never mind if the book fair was five days ( the previous book fairs were only held on weekends) and never mind if this year, the fair had the most number of publishers involved... I just couldn't find or make the time to attend any of the five days that it happened... ***sigh*** so sad...
I actually felt that weekend went by and was wasted on me. Did you ever feel the same? Weekend or otherwise?

It appears that there are certainly many interesting things to do in Manila. How big is the city and is there much of an international population?

I have has weekends like that. You want to do a lot of fun things that when you did find the time it was over. Just plain bad luck.

Missing things we want to go to is always a downer. I know the feeling. But I cannot help but think that this post should be posted next year at this time. Since you write the date as 2016. Maybe this is a future post. Or maybe I was sleeping for the entire year or in a coma. It's either that or you just mis-typed the year. No biggie though.

Often! I get to Sunday night and wonder where Saturday went, then wonder whether I could have Monday off to make up for it. On my salary that is not going to happen...
