Good Morning

Morning everyone (or evening, or afternoon, or whatever time you're on).
I'm on a roll this morning, all the before-school preparations are done and I've actually got five minutes to enjoy a coffee and check my emails before taking the kids to school.
The plan for today is to tackle the washing mountain that has appeared, give the living room a once over and head to the shops to get the stuff for a spaghetti bolognese for dinner - really the shower room needs a clean but I doubt that'll get done today as I don't have the will for it (I'll probably delegate that to the teens, the shower room is on their floor so I don't see why they can't get their hands dirty for a change!).
I might pop round and see a friend after dropping the kids off but that depends on how I feel, I might just come back home and be a hermit for the day.
Anyone got anything nice planned for today?

I hope you have a great day today, and yes, it is a good idea to have the teens clean the shower they use.

I'm looking forward to the mandatory four of sleep, some errands and then off to a job I truly love.
Enjoy your coffee.

It's a good idea, in theory - until they start on like I've asked them to walk to the moon and back...

I, too, had a mountain of laundry, and there is only one of me. I started on it yesterday, so have much to put away. The bed is going to be stripped, the blankets washed, and I am washing my bathroom rugs today.
I've never understood why they design them with that on the bottom. We aren't allowed to store food like that in commercial kitchens; make the household refrigerators on the same principle.
I also am going to clear out the fridge, and disinfect it. I had a bag of pork chops leak down onto the bottom shelf and into the crisper bins, so had to throw all in the trash. It got into the vegetable bin and fruit bin. I did salvage the oranges, and the carrots. I've scrubbed them both, and will cook the carrots in a soup pot tonight, and figured I was safe with the citrus.
I should have put the bag of chops in a dish before defrosting them. It's my own fault.

The only time I left the house today was to take my kids to the bus and pick them up after the bus. Since the kids have been back at school I have had very few days where I had to go out and get dressed and get a shower. I like these days when I don't have to get makeup on. I would rather have things to do but staying home can be nice to. I can't really do anything even if I wanted to as I do not have a vehicle right now. I got a bunch of things done around the house. I would have liked to get caught up on some online survey sites but haven't had time. Maybe tomorrow.
