I, Obviously, Don't Know How To Kiss (or something like that...)!

Now, don't let me mislead you.

If the truth be known, I've actually both given and had given to me my share of kisses, but I'm also a fan of catchy titles, so this is just an example of given something I've written a catchy title.

What I'm actually saying is that I surely must not know how to (or just haven't tried hard enough to) K.I.S.S. (as in "Keep It Simple, Stupid!").

Here's my situation:

On July 31, I got to experience having (for the first time since June 22, 2013) both Internet service and Internet service at home.

For a very brief time (until it got stolen), I had my own computer (in my case, a tablet that, for reasons that would be obvious to anybody using it, I named Donkey). However, I was homeless at the time (with my minivan being the only SURE place to call home during that time, though I did get to live in with friends for about three months, and there was seldom a time when I didn't have some kind of roof over my head, including occasional motels and, right before I moved into my apartment, a month in a nursing home).

Anyway, I've had access to the Internet the rest of this time when I was able to get to one library or another during library hours.

Let me tell you that it's a whole lot different having Internet access on a 24/7 basis than it is just having it during library hours -- and only then if nobody else was waiting for my computer and the computer/Internet access was cooperating.

As it stands now, my computer/Internet access seems to behave most of the time -- and, of course, nobody else is waiting to use my computer.

However, that doesn't mean that nobody else isn't waiting for my time, and I have to make decisions re: when to be working on my latest big project (more on that in a moment) or spending that time with somebody else (either online or in real life).

Then, there's this thing of taking time out for myself so that I can better be there for others as well as this continuing to work on this aforementioned big project that I believe will end up simplifying my Internet life (once I get it to a certain stage), and that will somehow trickle (either down, up, or both) into my off-line/real-life life as well.

In plain English, I'm working on this new website:

www.ainsleyjo1952.com

It's now in the early stages of construction, and I'm working on it between everything else -- sometimes...

At other times, I'm managing to do at least part of "everything else" between everything else.

Anyway, check it out when you find the time and want to, and pardon my dust.

Three final things before I sign off:

  1. Would you believe that the name of the web-design site I'm using is SimpleSite !?! It's hard to get any more simple than that -- but does it live up to its name? Overall, I would say so.
  2. No matter what my plans are, God is the final editor...
  3. ...and, last night, He told me to go to bed and get some rest, because I've been doing too much of burning the candle at both ends, and that isn't good for my lymphedema!!!

I have more to say, but will continue it at a later time... Like Right Now!!!

I used to have very slow internet service at home, so I would use the library computers. It was always SO COLD in there, and I know what you mean about having to wait for one, too. Glad you have one to yourself, now!
