Jess & Snuffles are Greening Australia

I've written about Tree Change Dolls before. It's a very small company, Sonia Singh and her mother, that repaint, clothe, and "makeunder" secondhand dolls. Every month, Tree Change Dolls has a charity auction on Ebay. This company is amazing; not only do they make these beautiful, realistic dolls but they also give back all they can to their community. The charity auction for August is in support of Greening Australia where 80% of the final proceeds will go to their Tasmanian Midlands Restoration Project. August's doll is named Jess and her story starts like this, "I'm lucky to live in the beautiful Tasmanian countryside where I love exploring and spending time in nature. When I play in the bush land near my home Snuffles the wombat is never far away. I rescued Snuffles as a baby wombat and it makes me happy that he still enjoys my company." Not only does Jess come with her friend Snuffles the wombat, but also a Greening Australia lapel pin.
Check out the Ebay auction and learn more about Jess here. The pictures are so wonderful!

A wonderful idea and good example of some ordinary person doing their little bit for the environment.

It's a great idea. It's especially good that the dolls become more realistic after their makeunder.

What a nice charity, and it was good of you to do a writeup letting people know about it.
