My Daily Coin Analysis at PP

I redeemed 11 days ago, after a several week push toward some lofty goals, both of which I achieved. I took a couple of days off, but I continue to set goals.

This time, I am not pushing hard, but I have found that I have developed some momentum. It probably does not hurt that I am not currently facilitating workshops, so I have more time to pop-in-and-out.

As some may know, I do tend to analyze situations, so that I know whether or not I am on the right path. Since the 15th of August, I have (loosely) kept track of what I am pulling in at different times of the day, in order to see patterns. I have also tracked the daily earnings (coins and value).

Not only do I do this for my own sake, I want for others to see what is possible.

These are my findings over the past six days, August 15-21. I, generally, take my coin/value numbers between 9 to 10:30 a.m., so they are for coins earned in the previous 24 hours. Posts are for the current day:

  • 15th -- Beginning coins/value: 2236/$3.35; number of posts 4
  • 16th -- Coins/value: 2486/$3.73; posts 2; coins earned/24 hours 218
  • 17th -- Coins/value: 2567/$3.85; posts 2; coins/24 hours 154
  • 18th -- Coins/value: 2700/$4.05; posts 3; coins/24 hours 120
  • 19th -- Coins/value: 2892/$4.34; posts 5; coins/24 hours 192
  • 20th -- Coins/value: 3068/$4.50; posts 3; coins/24 hours 176
  • 21st -- Coins/value: 3286/$4.93; posts 4 (thus far); coins/24 hours 218

The majority of the two to three hour average I spend here daily (not all at once) is in reading and commenting on others' posts. It is clear that writing 10-15 posts a day is not necessary to have daily coin success.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

Coins: 3313, +27 coins in 1 1/4 hours; $4.97, 24%.

I think the interaction is as important if not maybe slightly more important in some aspects to success here.

Rufuszen wrote on August 21, 2015, 3:08 PM

I, too, like the interaction. I've learnt a few things and the comments have helped to refine what I write... at least I hope so.

CoralLevang wrote on August 21, 2015, 3:11 PM

Well, the proof is in the numbers for me. I clearly do not have many articles. But, if I were to divide the 500 min characters into the totals I have in two or three articles, I'd probably have my 15 limit! ROFLMAO

lexiconlover wrote on August 21, 2015, 3:21 PM

My articles vary, today is the first daynin awhile that I have actually been able to spend a good deal of time interacting.

And im reference to you having longer articles instead of more shorter articles, quality is better then quantity, and in your case your quality is superb. :)

Thank you. *laughs* I have to tell myself, however, that Kasman reminds me of my verbosity.

valmnz wrote on August 21, 2015, 3:43 PM

You are going well. I can vouch for the reading and commenting, as when I'm having breaks from writing but continuing to read and comment my coins have continued increasing slowly.

CoralLevang wrote on August 21, 2015, 3:45 PM

We are all help to one another. Lessons come in many forms.

CoralLevang wrote on August 21, 2015, 3:45 PM

Thanks, Val. It's amazing what happens when the ball gets rolling.

Feisty56 wrote on August 21, 2015, 4:09 PM

Thank you for sharing your progress and analysis with us. It is both inspiring and eye-opening. Although I continue to share posts I find interesting on social media, I think for now it is community interaction that is driving the site rather than outside views.

MegL wrote on August 21, 2015, 4:55 PM

That's always useful to know. Again, if you comment on a post, you WILL get coins, whereas you can never guarantee how many will view your post.

wolfgirl569 wrote on August 21, 2015, 6:24 PM

You are doing great. The commenting is what I think helps the most.

DWDavisRSL wrote on August 21, 2015, 9:25 PM

I completely agree that the real key to success here on PP is the time you spend reading and commenting on others posts.

CoralLevang wrote on August 22, 2015, 12:41 AM

I agree, Feisty56 . We cannot "make" someone come to read via social media; however, when we interact, people are much more apt to reciprocate.

CoralLevang wrote on August 22, 2015, 12:42 AM

MegL We are on the same page. *points up to the previous comment I made*

CoralLevang wrote on August 22, 2015, 12:42 AM

Thanks! It's all that we really have any sort of control over.

CoralLevang wrote on August 22, 2015, 12:43 AM

I agree, DW. Or so it seems.

Paulie wrote on August 22, 2015, 12:44 AM

The key to getting coins on PP is interacting as much as possible with a lot of followers. Good luck in the future!

CoralLevang wrote on August 22, 2015, 1:06 AM

I do not follow a lot of people, nor do I think I have a lot of followers. I'm not sure the numbers.

BarbRad wrote on August 22, 2015, 2:25 AM

I haven't the time or discipline to analyze my earnings so carefully. I check most sites about once a day to see what I've earned.

CoralLevang wrote on August 22, 2015, 11:13 AM

It's what keeps me alive and gives me some purpose. LOL

DWDavisRSL wrote on August 22, 2015, 12:53 PM

Facetious reply to your reply to my comment follows: I'm glad that we can agreeably agree to be in agreement on this issue. Facetious reply has ended.

CoralLevang wrote on August 22, 2015, 12:58 PM

ROFLMAO Gosh, that we can be in alignment on so many things....
I respectfully agree. emoticon

chrisandmark wrote on August 22, 2015, 7:21 PM

I still haven't made a dollar on here but am enjoying the experience anyway! lol

LoudMan wrote on August 22, 2015, 8:07 PM

218 coins a day?!?! You are a beast! 😱

RapidBlue wrote on August 23, 2015, 4:25 AM

Yes, I agree that the commenting gives better but I think that we also gain something for the views on our posts, or it has been change?? Good job, by the way.

CoralLevang wrote on August 23, 2015, 4:39 AM

In a few hours, I will have been lucky to hit 75 cents for 24 hours.
I think the weekend suffers.

CoralLevang wrote on August 23, 2015, 4:41 AM

and we must enjoy what we do. emoticon

CoralLevang wrote on August 23, 2015, 4:42 AM

Of course, but I cannot control whether or not people are here, nor whether or not they view. I can control my comments.

AliCanary wrote on August 24, 2015, 12:06 PM

Agreed--the best idea that the admins had here at PP is paying the coin per comment on others' work. It lets you earn at will, helps others, and usually results in reciprocal views and comments. That's what keeps the momentum going!

CoralLevang wrote on August 24, 2015, 3:36 PM

Absolutely, AliCanary . Now, if we could just get rid of the negative Nellies and Neds, who are bound and determined to undermine what some of us are trying to do here, then I would be happier! emoticon :winking:

AliCanary wrote on August 24, 2015, 3:50 PM

I know, I've heard people say, "What's the point of leaving comments? They only pay half as well," but that's so wrong--if they result in just ONE reciprocal view, they've paid three coins. And if new readers find you by noticing your comment on someone else's post, they can pay infinitely!

luvcrabtreefalls wrote on August 27, 2015, 4:14 PM

Being new to PP I am very glad to see this post. It helps out a lot. I have also learned that commenting on stuff is the key.

CoralLevang wrote on August 27, 2015, 5:09 PM

Thank you, luvcrabtreefalls !
I started taking this much more analytically back about the mid to end of June, so I have fairly regular posts breaking down the numbers.. My numbers were bleaker, but the momentum gained, has helped nowadays.
