A Walk Down Memory Lane: My First Week at Persona Paper

I started with Persona Paper on Thursday, June 12, 2014. If I remember correctly, SandraLynn was the one who referred me.
It was back before we required to write an introductory post before being accepted to the site. Yet, I wrote New to Persona Paper, I Would Like to Introduce Myself. (Click link to read.) To date, it has had 37 views, and was much longer than the required 500 characters. Even then, I set myself up to being known as long-winded. What you see is what you get!
Two days later, it was Flag Day, and it also marked another important anniversary. I wrote a letter to my mother-- Dear Mom, I Will Always Remember Flag Day. It did not fare so well, though Ruby3881 , JanetHunt , and GemofaGirl each left heartfelt comments, Ruby claiming that I showed my "soft side." (I was so new that I did not know how to tag people, using the pound sign (#) instead of the ampersand (& ). I have since edited them.)
The following day, I posted my first poll-- I Write Online Because... Though I had 18 views, only 10 people voted and 3 commented.
That was my first week at Persona Paper. Whether or not I commented on others' work, I do not remember. But that is how I started here.
So, am I different that what I warned I am or would be? Do others understand a bit more of me after sharing a bit of my childhood in the letter to my mother? Can anyone guess which of the reasons I chose that I write online? Is the person that I present now any different than the first week I came on board?
Whatever the answers to these questions, there are many peeks into who I am. A nd, with this submission, I am at 463 articles, 14 months and a week later.

I wouldn't call you long-winded - verbose, wordy, loquacious, garrulous, talkative, voluble, orotund, expansive maybe but at least you make sense!

I would be interested in finding out something about your childhood in the letter you have for your mother. I will certainly have to check it out. I didn't realize that you have been on PP for 14 months already.
