Making A Big Move

I haven't been happy for a long time.

I have dreamt of leaving, but fear always kept me here. But I really want to do it. I'm going to give you the pros and cons of making a decision to move.

- I found a job I think I could really love in Colorado Springs, CO.

- Start a new life, escape the stress that has overwhelmed me here.

- Found a couple cute houses that are available for rent.

- I know someone who is an hour away from Colorado Springs, and she knows someone who lives there. So I could potentially already have a budding friend/support system.

- I have never driven in the snow before, and the thought terrifies me.

- I would have to apply for this job out of state, I've never done that before and don't know what to expect.

- I would have to secure housing before moving (I think).

- I don't have credit (it's not bad or good, it's nonexistent). So I don't know how easy it'll be to be accepted into a rental.

- Living so far from my family.

- I would not be available for anything (in person interviews included) until September 6th at the earliest. So I either apply now, and risk having to turn down an in person interview offer (or just pray they do a phone interview) or I'll have to wait to apply until the 4th and risk the job I want becoming unavailable.

How do I make this decision??? Help!!!!

If you have not been happy for a long time as you say, then this very well could be the sign for you to go ahead and take a leap of faith into something new. The cons will work themselves out.

I know you're right, and my gut and heart are telling me that's all true, it's just scary! *I added one more con to the bottom of my list that I forgot about. Any suggestions for that?

there really is alot to think about but if your not happy in your present situation i would certainly consider the change a necessary challenge, good luck in what ever you decide to do

Only you can decide but if it is a job that you would like you need to think about it. Driving in the snow is not too bad, just get someone to teach you the basics before you have to do it

To make a decision, take a coin and decide "Heads I go, Tails I stay", or whatever you decide to make the choices. Then you toss the coin. Now, here comes the special part. If you get excited by the choice you are given, then take it. If you feel you want to toss the coin again, then that decision is the wrong one for you. The coin toss is NOT making up your mind for you, it is helping you to see which choice you truly want. Good luck whichever way it goes. Remember, you cannot move away from yourself. So if YOU are creating your own stress, moving away will not get rid of it.

Hmm, those are some good reasons to move and not to move. I think you should go for it and as far as driving in the snow, if you will be living in town or the city and not driving on country roads, then it shouldn't be too bad. The only thing you have to worry about is sliding where the salt has not melted the snow/ice, but just drive carefully and most important if you start sliding, take your feet off everything, accelerator and brake and just steer through it.
