Are You Playing Along? Sleuth Challenge Week 2

Fellow member CoralLevang developed a creative idea for a challenge, called the Sleuth Challenge. Rather than re-explain it here, I'll let Coral explain it in her own words .

The "detective" work is for the reader and writer alike. The writer finds community members and chooses a post from each member's archives, then shares it in a post, where the readers are left to guess which post was written by which member.

This is my second go-around for the Sleuth Challenge. I'm enjoying reading through the list of Persona Paper community members, many of whom I have not yet "met." I hope you'll enjoy "meeting" them, too, or at least becoming reacquainted with them. This week, the community members I've met are: CSJWilkinson , Lovebeingmummy , frankie2015 , and imgreencat .

Can you guess which of them wrote each of these posts?

1. There are many things that can go wrong with the human body and its physiology. Some conditions are well-known, while others are seldom heard of. In this post , you'll learn about one of the lesser-known conditions, an issue with the blood.

2. This community member is well-versed in many things military -- enough so to have written this post in the topic of Humor.

3. Do you have any interest in eating foods that are healthy for you? This member's post suggest three such options and explain why each one merits a place on the list.

4. Some people are close observers of life, even when the topic at hand may make most people uncomfortable. This member shares one such incident -- and without saying it directly, shows each of us there is nothing about which to be uncomfortable.

That's the group for this week -- a pretty eclectic bunch. But that's the beauty of our community, isn't it? There is something for everyone.

If you're interested in taking up this challenge, please be sure to tag it .

Thanks for the mention and back link. I hadn't had a chance for week 2, based on my writing goal. Now that I am done with it, hope to get back to some fun. emoticon

I'll be looking forward to it.

I saw the original post but haven't had time to take part. It sounds like fun and a good way to meet more people.

Feisty56 This sounds like fun! I wish I had more time to be here right now....

Too complicated for me, especially since I'm doing so much actual sleuthing at present. But more on that, later.

This is a good way to get the word out about members whom we may not have met yet. I just recently discovered Lovebeingmummy myself.

I'm enjoying it so far, and really the challenge can be undertaken any time you have the time/inclination. I've begun because I am far less social onsite than I used to be. The challenge gives me the motivation I need to do something about that, even if it's only once a week.

It is my hope that some additional activity on members' posts will encourage some to increase their presence here at Persona Paper. I don't know that it will happen, but it might and that would be great for the entire community.

I'm having fun with it. Maybe sometime in the future you'll have time to take part, too. The more, the merrier. : )

I'll be looking forward to hearing about your experiences sleuthing. I hope you won't keep us waiting too long. : )

Although the details of this challenge are a bit different from some of the challenges you've created in the past, the intended outcome is pretty much the same. I recall in the past we were going through the member list one member at a time and leaving at least one comment on a post. I think I made it about a quarter of the way through the list at that time, and I'm pretty sure you may have completed the list.

It's a bit tedious to do these challenges, but I think we do it because we believe in Persona Paper and the community here, wanting to do what we can to help it be successful.

An early instance actually connected with a crime was one of murder. Authorities claimed the one and only ping of the victim's cellphone led to a particular spot some distance from the highway. I pointed out the apparent direction of the perpetrator's car placed it on the opposite of the divided highway. It turned out I was exactly right. The opposite side of the road was the perpetrator's own address! They later found the phone there. He's in prison.

Oh, goodness, no, not nearly! But I'm still pluggin' away.

Feisty56 wrote on August 9, 2015, 9:51 PM

That's really neat that you could be helpful. Must be satisfied being able to be of assistance and the fella is behind bars.

VinceSummers wrote on August 9, 2015, 9:55 PM

Well, it was conjecture, surmise. I did publish my opinion on it, but I did not feel I could inform the authorities, especially when part of the group was the FBI. They were in on the search.

I will bethinking about it since nothing sinks in to me right now.

I missed this post back when you first put it up. IT's a shame too.

Lol, oh well. Now I know to pay better attention.
