Best Thing To Happen This Week - Writing Prompt

Hiyeee, everyone. I found this writing prompt earlier this week, but I thought today would be a good time to do it. It asks “What's the best thing that has happened this week?”

I would say finding work on Textbroker is the best thing to happen this week, or at least one of the best things to happen this week. It has been a slow week with my regular client. This happens from time to time. So I checked out Textbroker and found some other work; short assignments that only take a few minutes to complete, and add up after a while. It helps to fill in the gap while waiting for work to pick back up, and it also gives me a break from my usual routine. I enjoy writing for my regular client of course, but it is good to expand your horizons a bit. It's good to step out of your comfort zone and take a chance on other clients/topics. I don't know if this client will put more work on the board, if s/he has everything they need or if they'll even decide to send me direct orders. I am taking a chance and finding out where it leads. If it leads to additional work, then that would be awesome. And if it doesn't? I still made something during a slow week and was able to take on other work/clients. You know what they say -- variety is the spice of life.

Oh and by the way, my tablet isn't broken after all, which is the other best thing to happen this week. It was so drained the charging icon didn't pop up, but it's all good and fully charged now. :)

Now, I am not sure if I am going to make a post tomorrow. I’m thinking of using some of that time to catch up on my comments and interacting around here. I won’t have the time to post on Sunday (family gathering). I am going to get back to my assignments since I can go lay down for the night. You all have a great weekend and take care.

I have been with textbroker for three years now. They are a good site to write for, I have never had any problems.

Right. I've had a problem with a client here and there, but it's rare. I also got downgraded once, but when they finished rating me, I was back up to four. But still, I like working on there. YCN gave me my start in freelance writing; Textbroker gave me my start in writing for clients. :)
