FRYday, FRIday, PHRYday, PHRIday

You have probably never given much thought, if any, to the different ways Friday can be spelled phonetically. Until I tried to come up with a title for this post celebrating (and mourning) the fact that today is Friday I hadn't either. I am celebrating this Friday because it is the end of the workweek and my missus will not have to get up and go into work for the next two days. I am mourning this Friday because it is the second to last Friday of my summer break and two Mondays from now I will begin my teacher workdays.

Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to getting back to teaching. The downside is the day job takes away oodles of my writing time. My pittance of earnings from my online writing efforts will no doubt take a rather large hit once I start back to work.

On the bright side, being back with my students will give me lots of grist for the mill.

I like the way that you have spelt the Friday's! Hope you and your wife have a nice weekend and enjoy the rest of your time off before you go back to your job teaching

We are going up to see Son2 at school and bring him a futon and rug for his room. He has a single room this year since he is an RA.

I was sitting here thinking about what to say about Friday and thought about a colleague who always spells it Fryday as in by Friday we teachers are Fried.

I'm trying to find ways to cut a few letters out of the alphabet so it will be easier for today's children to learn.

I suppose you don't have much down time while teaching to be busy doing online writing. Are your lesson plans all prepared for the current term?
