Bad Experience Shopping at Amazon

I've never purchased anything from Amazon before partly because many items on the website are not eligible for international shipping. But one day while googling for a book that I really wanted, I saw that it was available at Amazon and the seller would send it to my country.

I promptly ordered the book and I was informed that it would arrive between 3 to 4 weeks. No big deal. I can wait. As the arrival time approached, I was really excited and the package arrived 2 days earlier than expected. I concluded that Amazon delivery service is excellent but then came the disappointment.

When I opened the package expectantly, I discovered that it wasn't the book that I wanted. I already own the book that was wrongly sent to me. What a big disappointment especially after waiting for so long for the book to arrive.

Fortunately, I can return the book and get a refund. I've already mailed the book back to Amazon. Now I will see how Amazon deals with returns.

I am sorry that happened to you. I have never had a problem with amazon , even though I know mistakes can happen.

That was just one incident. I ordered three other items from Amazon. Two had arrived as promised. One still on the way. It's just that one bad experience can really sour the whole fun of shopping online.

I never had tried making transactions online like shopping or selling. I am not that comfortable

I used to be uncomfortable shopping online so I started with small purchases first and if the website delivers, I will make further purchases.

I regularly buy books and movies from Amazon and have only had one issue where they sent me the wrong book, they refunded my money very quickly and I went about my day. Every company is going to have a glitch every once and a while, but Amazon.com is a great company.

I have never shopped on Amazon. I should check it out and see if Amazon ships many books to Thailand. I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience.

One mistake and your calling Amazon to accounts publicly? I'd give them an opportunity to fix it first. Was the source actually Amazon, or an independent provider selling through Amazon?
