Asking for Prayers for My Friends

Before I leave, I wanted to ask for prayers and healing thoughts this morning for two of my friends.

My friend, R.N., is in surgery, as I write this. A week ago he collapsed, and had a clot, and only 20 percent heart function. Today, he is in for triple bypass surgery. He has been very weak. I saw him on Sunday for about 10 minutes at the hospital. He was in good spirits, but was struggling to breathe.

Another friend, B.B., also friends with R.N., and has been helping him for a few years, just found something of concern in her breast. This is always disconcerting.

I have already shared about R.D., and his diagnosis of prostate cancer. At least, he went ahead with his trip. He is off-the-grid, and I will look forward to hearing about his adventure when he returns the end of August. He will have one month until his surgery.

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers for all three of them.

The one with the bypass surgery probably has the best prognosis. It's a surgery that is firmly and successfully established by quality surgeons. AND, those operated upon often feel years younger, afterward.

CoralLevang I'll join the prayer team.

I am very sorry to hear about the conditions of R.N. and B.B. I will be saying a prayer for them as well as for R.D.

I have been keeping track of my status toward a goal I set a month ago, so I can keep on track. I wrote an article about what the numbers mean and how I am tracking. --

Thanks for the kind thoughts.

lexiconlover , LeaPea2417 , &and Hanvanmeegerin , MUCH appreciated.
VinceSummers The prognosis for them all is much better than you suggest. I'm not sure what factors you are basing your assessment on.

Paulie Thank you. R.N. is not completely out of the the woods yet. He is very ill. He very lucky that he has made it to the surgery, let alone through it.

I thought your friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, but I see such is not the case. Frankly, having cancer once may mean a recurrence later. Everyone I've known to have multiple bypass surgery is greatly improved, not only in his or her survival prospects, but generally in the quality of life. Cancer victims often survive, but seldom are better off.

I just prayed for healing for your friends. It's always sad when someone who has made a career of caring for others becomes seriously ill.

Thank you, BarbRad .
