Breakfast With A Minion

Rather than make a mess preparing breakfast at home, K and I stopped at a Mickie D's right at the junction of Highway 70 and Interstate 95 to get breakfast to go. She had the breakfast burritos and I had a chicken biscuit.

We've been texting the pictures I'm posting here to 2LT Son1 as we go so that he can keep up with where we are on the trip. Our GPS, we nicknamed it Lucy because it's bossy and always telling us what to do, shows an ETA at our hotel in Pensacola of 5:12pm. What we don't know for sure is if that is EDT or CDT. Either way we're hoping to get there in time to take Son1 out to dinner.

I loved Pensacola. Congrats to your son, too!! Safe and enjoyable journeys, despite Lucy. I wish we could change it to a male voice. I would so much love a man telling me what to do. Oh, wait a sec! I'd get lost, and he not stop for directions, if he were wrong! emoticon :winking:

And..."Lucy" as in Lucy Van Pelt? Yeah, good name for your GPS... ;)

Great idea to make a breakfast stop on the way. That saves a lot of trouble with dishes and starts the holiday off on the right foot!

Did you name it after Lucy from the Peanuts comic strip? That's so cute!

That is exactly where we got the name, lol

There's more to the story, but that is why we call the GPS Lucy. It was my wife's nickname when she was little because she was so bossy. Her sisters called her that after Lucy from Peanuts.

When we go on a trip we usually stop by for some food along the way.
