Looking for a Little Action Tonight

As the time is ticking toward midnight, I have to admit I am looking for a bit more action. I wish that there were more people who came out from around the world at all hours of the night, so I could interact more real-time. I enjoy it when I see people active on our wonderful site.

I suppose I could always don a slinky dress in red and black and stand on a street corner. It might not be the wisest thing for this nearly 60-year-old grandmother to go into that line of work at this stage of life. But then I was never a dame that men flocked to for my good looks.

My chicken enchiladas, however, were a different story. Oh, yeah! And my breasts. They loved me because I had nice t**s and made great chicken enchiladas.

Tonight, I just want to be loved for my words. Not for my chicken enchiladas. Or my ta-tas.

I wonder if I could get a more action in the red light district? It might be worth the embarrassment.

You risque' woman, you. lol What you won't do for a few more coins. Goal-driven, that's for sure. So you say chicken enchiladas are not part of the deal?

Paulie wrote on July 25, 2015, 11:03 PM

I love this humorous article and your clever way of soliciting coins into your bank! I don't think I could have written a post as good as this.

"Coral's Red Light Writing Circle...." You never know, it might just work. And I'm sure you'd unearth some pretty interesting stories!

Feisty You think you can look this good AND slave in the kitchen? LOL emoticon :winking:

Ruby3881 I am laughing my a$$ off right now. Haven't had this much fun in awhile. And yes, the stories. I'd have to have a pen name, only to be revealed upon my deathbed. emoticon :winking:

wolfgirl569 You grow good food. I'm sure you give the best to all the animals, though and have slim pickin's for you and the hubbs. I'll help you!

Paulie wrote on July 26, 2015, 3:39 AM

Come to think of it, it is. I hope I don't get you into trouble.

LOL That reminds of a story a work colleague told me one time. He and his wife went to the theatre, all dressed up and when they came out, he told his wife to wait on the pavement while he went to fetch the car, as she couldn't walk fast in her high heels. When he arrived back, his wife was laughing and when she got in the car she told him that some woman had told her to "push off" as this part of the pavement was HER "pitch"!

I wrote a story about a prostitute many years ago for a now defunct writing site. I have never seen any trace of that story on-line since. Maybe I should try reconstructing it and publish it here!

HahahaHhHahaah. I'm sure some coins would be tossed in your direction if you wore the red dress my dear.

CoralLevang wrote on July 26, 2015, 8:57 AM

It's a bit of fun. I think you should.

CoralLevang wrote on July 26, 2015, 8:58 AM

MegL Too funny!

CoralLevang wrote on July 26, 2015, 8:59 AM

lexiconlover I doubt it, but I have been known to pick up pennies on the pavement when I see them. LOL

msiduri wrote on July 26, 2015, 9:33 AM

And all day you'll have good luck? I don't remember how the rest of the rhyme goes.

JohnRoberts wrote on July 26, 2015, 9:36 AM

PP is the red light district for the blogging/writing crowd. We are coin sluts! Show me a few coins and I'll show you some words.

CoralLevang wrote on July 26, 2015, 10:14 AM

msiduri I learned it as: "Find a penny and pick it up, all the day you'll have good luck. Find a penny and leave it there, all the day you'll have despair." I think there are many variations of that poem.

CoralLevang wrote on July 26, 2015, 10:17 AM

Oh, my! I just had a thought of standing on the corner with a cardboard sign, "Homeless. Will write for coin." If it works for other crowd, why not for writers?

wolfgirl569 wrote on July 26, 2015, 10:44 AM

The veggies are mostly mine at least. But if push came to shove they would get those too.

msiduri wrote on July 26, 2015, 11:16 AM

That sounds about right. It's been a while.

Kasman wrote on July 26, 2015, 11:25 AM

I just love chicken enchiladas!

Kasman wrote on July 26, 2015, 11:29 AM

I once saw a student in St Andrews (the Scottish university town) sitting outside a pub and holding a sign which said: 'Hungry, Homeless, Homosexual and Horny'. He was getting a lot of laughs and quite a few coins thrown his way!

CoralLevang wrote on July 26, 2015, 11:38 AM

Love his alliteration! Clever fellow! Funny, too. Was he a Scot? LOL

CoralLevang wrote on July 26, 2015, 11:39 AM

I'm sure that Mrs. Kasman will be glad to make them for you! emoticon :winking:

Kasman wrote on July 26, 2015, 11:42 AM

No, he was English but we won't hold that against him!

CoralLevang wrote on July 26, 2015, 11:58 AM

Kasman *laughs* That's right! If he were a Scotsman, he would have said only, "Hungry, Homeless, and Horny"!

Ooo baby. LOL. Just kidding. I know that feeling well. Last night I was feeling the exact same way. I wish we still had those rock clubs around here like they used to have. I miss LaMour. That was the rock capitol of Brooklyn.

CoralLevang wrote on July 27, 2015, 6:54 AM

You don't need to be "just kidding." emoticon :winking: I can handle myself just fine. :-P~~

inertia4 wrote on July 27, 2015, 7:09 AM

Okay, no problem, I believe you. I am sure you can handle yourself just fine. Nice!!!!
