Hitting the Highway

If all goes according to plan, my dog and I will hit the road in a few days, moving from the state of Florida to the state of Ohio. But of course, we all know the best-laid schemes of mice and men often go awry, as poet Robert Burns would say.
I have had one moving plan after another fall apart at the seams in the past couple of months. While I am hopeful I have hit on the right thing this time around, I know better than to say everything is written in concrete at the moment.
The current travel plan is to head for the hills of Ohio next week. I am packing myself, my dog, and what personal belongings will fit in my little Honda, and will drive to my destination.
I do have work waiting for me, thankfully, and I have secured a place to live, though sight unseen, oh my! I will be nearer family and old friends, to which I am looking forward.
Naturally, this means I will be offline for a tidbit of time. Hopefully not too long! Upon my return to the web I hope to share much good news and views of our moving adventure.
For now, readying ourselves for hitting the highway, my dog Valentino and I say, "So long!"

I just did a road from LA to Key West and back. You will be leaving all that hot humid weather with daily thunderstorms behind!

That is a long road trip, JohnRoberts ! Oh my yes, to the heat and humidity. It is so hot here even my dog doesn't want to take his daily walks!

I wish you all the best on your move. You must have a compelling reason to be leaving the sunny south to go back to the frigid north.

@DWDavisRSL Thank you. Yes, I do. It's a long story that I've been blogging about for a couple of months. I am hoping this trip takes place soon and my dog and I can begin enjoying life again.

Are you there yet? The heat's broken...it's still fairly humid here, but no more lethal heat, hurrah.
