It Is Time to Say Goodnight

It is now 12:30 p.m. PDT and I have been awake for 43 hours with a short nap a couple of hours. I have to be up by 6 o'clock so that I can be to work by 7:15, but wanted to get a quick note to wind down my day.

I just finished watching the movie, Luther, a 2003 film about Martin Luther and the Reformation of the Church in the 1500s. Though there were some inaccuracies in the film, I thought it as a good one to watch for historical purposes. It certainly made my confirmation and Catechism class more understandable than when I was a young Lutheran. I actually enjoyed the film.

I will be unable to spend much time online for the next few days, so make sure that you keep it afloat without me keeping my nose in everything... talk to you soon!!

I could never be awake for 43 straight hours with only a short nap. The last time I pulled an all-nighter was when I was in college. I hope you aren't too tired when you report for your job tomorrow.

It has been a long time since I went that long without sleep. Probably not since my Army days. Thanks for the tip on the movie LUTHER. I will see if it is no Netflix and watch it. The reformation is one of the topics I will be teaching this coming school year, from a historical perspective.

I too am about in the same boat sleep wise.

DWDavisRSL It surely gave me a different perspective on the man, Luther, and it is a part of history that I was taught as a young girl and teen. I saw that part of history from a different perspective last night. I would say, based on what I have read on reviews of accuracy of info, that it was better than 90% accurate. Some of the timeline of certain events were probably altered, for creative license. It was funded by Thrivent Financial (formerly Lutheran Brotherhood), so I think it was one reason it maintained such integrity.

lexiconlover I've always been like that to some extent, but it's gotten worse as I am getting older.

It will definitely be worth it for me to watch it then. I am trying to review as much world history from 1500 to 1900 as I can this summer.
