Breaking News: She Plans to Clean
I am not one who particularly likes to clean. There are reasons for that, which is a story that I probably should share at some time in my life.
But there comes a time when even I cannot stand the clutter and dirt! Today is one of those days, and it is time I start to work on some past-due cleaning.
I have a lot to do that I cannot finish in one day, or even a week, for that matter. Truth be told, I have a garage filled with boxes never unpacked from the move over a year ago. (I thought I was going to literally die within a few months after moving, so why bother? Unpacking and heavy cleaning were the least of my concerns.)
I will start on the one-and-a-half bathrooms and kitchen today. I have already found the rubber gloves, bucket and scrubbers. Of course, I found the box in the garage with THOSE supplies!
But, before I start, I am going to get dressed and out to Starbucks for a shaken mango black tea lemonade to treat myself to making the decision to do so. After all, those little rewards along the way are important!

I too am cleaning today. Well organizing. I've gotten about annoyed with the clutter too. So I wish you well in your deep cleaning.

I just wish I could afford a maid. But then I would have to clean before she got there. LOL

I have a steadfast rule about cleaning: when I can't pile anything else up without getting a step ladder, it's time!
Seriously, I read that a study said that clutter can have a negative effect on a person's mood. I don't know if that's true or not.

Cleaning was never my strong suit. But if it has to be done it shall be done. In my time of course. When I was married the ex wanted to clean every single week, every single room and a deep clean all the time. I helped, but I did the bathroom and by the time I was done with that she had the rest of the apartment clean. I could not keep up with that. It seemed like we were always cleaning. Never had time for nothing else. Believe me. But ever since the marriage broke up, wow, what a difference. Now I am living better.

Whoever it is in that picture she is doing it all wrong. The way she is bending it will be a load on her back. One needs to bend the knees.
Once cleaning is done it is a great feeling.

If you ask me, which you didn't, I'd say finding the supplies among ALL those BOXES in the garage was a job well done for one day.

I´m going out to clean someone else´s house today, I have 2 per week, which I am paid to clean. Today I got up tired though, and don´t feel like going. Oh well, at least I know I won´t be the only one scrubbing today. Good luck with yours Coral.

I'm no fan of cleaning, but if I can do a little bit at a time, it's not too bad, and it gets done. Yesterday I changed the bed linens, and today I cleaned the bathroom rug (Spencer the cat likes to lie there in the morning sun, and it gets pretty furry). They were pretty simple tasks. I'll probably take on something else simple later today or tomorrow, because Saturday is going to be very busy for me--no time to clean!
