Redeeming My first Adsense Earnings

After a year of working on my website, which included creating rich and unique content and building audience, I finally started to see some decent earnings in my Adsense account.

I first registered for Adsense almost a year ago when my website was still small and non-existent in Google's search. My traffic sources were mostly from YouTube (where I promote my website) and other search engines like Yahoo and Bing. My daily page views was at around 40 views only. Now I am ranked well by Google and I have hundreds of page views per day.

In the first several months the earnings were slow, no more than 2$ a month. But now, although still below my target, it can go up to 10$ a month. So now after I reached the minimum threshold, I was asked to choose the payment method so they can send me the money. How exciting.

Creating a website requires lots of hard work, patience and dedication. You will face ups and downs all the time. Just like any other offline business. I advice everyone who have creative and unique ideas to put them in their own website and watch their audience and income grow.

Congratulations! I am planning to buy my own domain too as soon as I reach 1000 blog posts on WordPress. LOL! I take it slowly.

Congratulations! I need to go work on my semi-neglected blogs. My AdSense balance is around $26 and change.

That's fantastic. Perhaps you could write about how you got traffic to your site and whether it is self hosted on oon one of the blog sites, like Blogger, etc.

Wow congratulations on such a great achievement and it only took 12 months, very cool! You have given me some incentive to get to work on my own sites :)

I take it slowly too but I think Google treats older domains better. So if I were you I would purchase the domain now and update it with new posts from time to time.

Mine is on Weebly (cheap, easy and great costumer service). I published some of the content on YouTube with link to my site (you will get noticed on YouTube better). I also managed to attract many random people to my Facebook page. But now most of my traffic is from search engines, thanks to the backlinking, which also took me awhile to do.
