Good morning or whatever part of the day is for you. Today is Tuesday, June 30, 2015. The temperature is 66.1°F and the humidity is 85% at 5:23 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0 mph with gusts of 0 mph. There were a few high thin clouds when I stuck my head out. Weather Underground is predicting a 0% chance of precipitation and a high of 91° (“nearly the same as yesterday”) today. Oh, joy. Yay summer.

I got a ticket on the Examiner review of The Secret in the Old Mill the day before yesterday telling me it was too similar to The House on the Cliff . I repeated some information about the Stratemeyer Syndicate and such. I changed some things but the ticket didn’t go away. Changed some more things but the ticket didn’t go away. This morning I simply removed the whole paragraph. I hope that does the trick.

Yesterday morning while Mr. Siduri was on the phone with another matter, his mother called to say that she’d cancelled her doctor’s appointment. A transport service at the retirement home where she lives was going to take her. She’s been having problems with diarrhea for some time now and apparently had a bout of it bad enough the she couldn’t make it to the doctor’s, which is what she was being seen for. He later called the doctor to see if he couldn’t get her in later the same day. Another doctor in the same office saw her, but since we live about 45 minutes away, that meant leaving immediately. He also managed to get her to the dentist to follow-up on checking her out after having her tooth pulled, which was scheduled for today. That was nice of him to accommodate her like that. A bit stressful, but everything was all taken care of.

Of course, Mr. Siduri also has an appointment with his old boss to see about coming back to work as a contract employee. That fell by the wayside, but he did get the proposed contract faxed to him

Find some cookies to bake for the critique group and the barbeque. Have to start doing a little straightening up for that, too. And cleaning. Not much, though.

Again, didn’t get much writing done. Try again today.
