Writing at the Library

This morning, as I wrote on Persona, my computer acted crazy. I'd hit a key and it would erase a paragraph; jump to a different spot on the page or jump to another page and I'd lose everything. Does anyone here know what causes that? Anyway, I lost what I was writing and got so frustrated that I had to get away from the computer. I can't remember what I was writing. I find I can focus much better in the library anyway.

Even though I'm the only human living in my house, I do have three dogs and two cats. They can be very demanding. The cats want attention and walk across my keyboard. The dogs start barking at anyone who walks on the sidewalk in front of my house. Worst of all, my housework calls to me and makes me feel guilty for not cleaning it.

This library is only five minutes from my house and it's open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. It's a beautiful new library with skylights that let lots of light in. Best of all, there are lots of computers so there's never a problem with getting on one and there are thousands of books. Being surrounded by books always makes me feel at peace.

Do you write at your library?

Sometimes, when I have had my computer on for a long period of time, it will do some crazy things.

I never go to our library anymore. But I know the problem with the dogs and cats helping out lol

Used to visit our community library to use the computers. But at the time I had not found any online writing communities, so NO I wasn't writing. It was still good to have a public computer available that had Internet access.

I'm doing that right now! I love the library--their internet is sooooo much faster than mine...

It's much faster than mine also. I should just go there everyday at

See! that reply spontaneously posted! I was going to say I should go there every morning when they open.

I love the large screens that they have. I might go there everyday.

My best friend lives in an area where there are some interesting things going on too.

You gotta love them, though. They can be so aggravating, but they're loving, too.

I think my computer needs a tuneup. I would love to learn how to do computer repair.

Oh my, I can imagine how annoying that is! emoticon

I haven't gone to the library to use the computer. It's more fun staying home when I can with the wetnosedogs. If i works for you, it's great.

I haven't had that exact problem, but I find at certain times the ads on any PTW site tend to slow my computer down and to crash the browser. Unfortunately, the ads seem to go through a cycle in which several ads with the same faulty scripts will load over the space of several minutes - sometimes 30 or more.

I like being with the dogs too when they aren't bothering me. A lot of times they'll sleep on the floor near me.

That's no good. Computers can be so frustrating at times, but I guess we couldn't live without them, now.
