Run out of Steam
The audit deadline is three weeks out and counting. I am trying to sort out my document control database, have abandoned the 'find the duplicates' project until later, despite the pressure that decision is probably causing on the server, and have been putting together a bunch of shortcuts to make it easier to find the documents when the auditing team require.
The Study Day feedback is still half done too, as I have been required to forget about that until after the auditing visit. I have a list of 'to do' projects for work that are all simmering until next month.
Meantime my writing is coming along, my blog is coming along and growing daily, plus the new links for review are arriving by email, Tweet and message on a daily basis. I have found a great new app called SpeakingPhoto to help with my eBay listings and hope to give them a boost in the next few months as well. Some of the items are really just needing a market. A review will likely follow, as I have quite cheerfully fallen in love with this app. I LOATHE videos, as you know, but am quite happy to take and look at photos. Now I can give a commentary on them as well before sharing them to social media.
I'm hoping to be able to have a few days off after the audit visit as I will be overdue some time off in lieu by then, as well as needing to recoup some time from the weekends everyone keeps borrowing.
First it was seeing mum-in-law, then the Study Day, then a trip to Milton Keynes for Collectormania and shopping, then a weekend with my parents. This weekend I am going to have to visit the barber and get myself shorn before I start pulling my hair out myself. (It gets very lifeless when it's longer, which does nothing for my self-confidence.) Last weekend of the month I have earmarked for audit work if needed. Then the visit is on the following Friday. By then I will need a few days off!
So now it's back to the amwriting marathon, along with eBays on the side.
