Happy giver and happy receiver

Life is a matter of give and take.

That means we can be happy giver as well as happy receiver.

Most of us focus on the giving part. We are always giving in different ways. We give to charities, give time to listen to the woes of someone else, do more than our share of work, and so on.

Some of us are not good at receiving happily.

When others offer to buy us coffee, we often feel guilty.

We feel like we need to return the gift by buying lunch for that person.

If we feel guilty as a recipient, we are ignoring the cycle of give and take which is part of life.

Sometimes we can create luck by giving happily and receiving happily. The more we give, the more we will receive, and that will enable us to give more and more, and receive more and more.

It starts a cycle of good luck.

That means we must never say no when others give to us. We can always pay forward but never say no to gifts, both big and small.

These are great thoughts. Give and take go hand in hand.

It's a life lesson that's hard to learn. Even accepting compliments is difficult for some.

I agree, and when I give, I do not expect something in return.

This is a good balance in life. We should also know how and when to give the same way when we receive

It's true, I often feel like I should do something in return if I am given something, but I've been taught that that is good manners.

There is joy in giving the same way there is in receiving. We must know how and when to keep the balance

A very interesting way to look at it. I never thought of it in that manner. I will have to keep this in mind.
