Glad you enjoyed it, CalmGemini . I don't normally have such vivid recollections of my dreams, but this one stuck with me.

It is a business model that sadly had disappeared at least in this part of the country. My sister has a sunflower tattooed on her calf. She hasn't gotten the color done yet. It don't know if it's the expense or, frankly, the pain that's been holding her back. A friend of hers, of Russian Jewish descent had nearly every inch of her body tattooed as a memorial to the Holocaust. I was biting my tongue all the time she was describing the tats to us, aware of the strictures against them in Judaism. Finally, she said she could never be buried as a Jew because if them.

I realize it was a while ago, but I'm sorry to hear of the losses in you mother's family. The Holocaust is something that continues to horrify down the generations.

You are right, of course, about some reaching out to the friends of my sister's. Granted, I don't know the woman other than the talking to her the one time, but I got the impression she had no interest in practicing Judaism.
